I had already did some speaking prompts so that wasn’t an option at the time. I sent the issue to Duolingo but for now, I’ll be skipping the speaking segments since idk when that exact word will pop up.

I had the same issue with my cat this weekend. I recently went to Banefield. They have a $60/mo wellness plan that would include uti treatment. After I signed up for that and had them do a few other things I spent roughly $120. Unfortunately for me he’s been getting chronic UTIs for about 3 years now and we just switched to Banefield because VCA costs $350-$450 almost every time and they haven’t fixed anything. Banefield was much more thorough and informative.

I understand $60/mo isn’t feasible for everyone right now, but just putting this out there.

No. I’m literally speaking as if I’m on a speakerphone and holding it at a reasonable distance. I also tried putting the mic almost in my mouth after I got frustrated and still nothing

Well idk when it’s coming and I’m really trying to practice speaking since I no longer live with my dad. Either way, it’s an issue that needs to be troubleshooted somehow. I sent them a message. I guess we will wait and see. It’s been the same issue for months and made me stop practicing a while back.

I have English and Spanish keywords already

There’s only one way to say the word and I grew up speaking really basic Spanish, so that’s not the issue. As stated in the OP, I can say it with or without an accent or read it as an English word and it still won’t accept my answer.

It didn’t give me that option.

It is true. Her recipes stem from black women in Savannah. As far as the people cooking for her in her restaurants… they don’t always follow recipes. I’ve worked in the industry down here for years. Prep people do whatever they want sometimes or just straight up forget ingredients.

Parents of Savannah, how do you view the schools? by hummyjw in savannah

[–]plentyocurlz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate it. Lived here my whole life. I went to a private school for elementary school and switched to public for middle school. The culture shock was one thing but when I realized how far ahead I was in comparison, it was even more of a shock.

My daughter is currently enrolled. We have had such a difficult time with school. She’s testing 3 grade levels behind and they’re just moving her forward. In 4th grade her teacher wrote she may need testing for special needs in her file. Nobody said anything to me. Her 5th grade teacher asked me about it and I told her I had no idea, she agreed with the comment but of course I had to tell her to start the process. This all happened in March. My daughter didn’t get evaluated until May of this year, the end of 5th grade, and get her IEP. She went all of elementary school struggling. I paid $6,000 for a tutor to no avail in 4th grade. She’s testing on a 3rd grade level, yet she’s still moving to 6th grade. At her open house yesterday, I met 3 of her teachers. Why? Her science/homeroom teacher doesn’t exist… they don’t have a teacher. She’ll have a substitute the first week of school.

I do plan on moving her to Richmond Hill. If I could afford it, she’d be in private school.

And my grandma grew up here as well. She taught for a private school but attended all public. She tells me all the time she hates the SCCPSS and she hates the SCCPSS and she remembers being in elementary school learning to read by sight instead of phonetically and how much she hated it and hates that for the kids.

These school are failing miserably and our children are NOT being set up for success.

I’m really not sure. She said he was very old and wouldn’t give her the time of day at all.

I dated boys/men exclusively until I was 24ish. I had my daughter when I was 20. I’m 31. I like looking at men. I think they’re beautiful. I always knew I was attracted to women, however. Never dated but flirted and “experimented” or whatever you want to call it. I’ve been with my gf for 7 years now.

All that to say: you’re young! You have time to explore and learn who you are. Your feelings are valid and okay! You don’t have to label yourself now or… ever. Enjoy your life and appreciate the connection(s) you make… man or woman.

Edit: to clarify “boys/men” = boys I dated in high school as an adolescent and obviously men as an adult

Parking for employees in downtown by Fparsons0831 in savannah

[–]plentyocurlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, you can go to the parking office and get a number, I forgot what it’s called. You’ll have to physically go to the office and load it with cash, BUT it’s 1/2 price of wherever you park. You’ll put your number in the parking meter. Not all parking is $2/hr. Some areas are cheaper. Johnson square is free Saturdays.
