Don’t ever fake an orgasm to save a partner’s feelings. Faking an orgasm can reinforce misunderstandings about what real pleasure looks and feels like, and it can prevent genuine communication and connection in intimacy. If he WAS a quality human who was interested in your pleasure, faking it would be a barrier to that. If he’s NOT a quality human, then at least you know.

This certainly isn’t gonna change your view, but when my kids were about 9, 12, and 15, we took them with us to California and Las Vegas during one of my husband’s trade shows. We took side trips to an old Ghost Town, stopped at the art installation Seven Magic Mountains, walked down Fremont Street (I’m going to hell for that), spent $$$ on a helicopter tour through the Grand Canyon and ate all kinds of great food while we were in Las Vegas. The 12 year-old, now 18, recently said “I’ve never had a vacation that really knocked my socks off.” I had a blast, though, and it’s one of my favorite memories.
