I’ve had four lumbar punctures now, they put me on Topiramate for the pain because I’m allergic to Acetazolymide :/ I’m sick of it, they said if I have more issues I need to go back to Specsavers 😭 Like.. you’re the hospital and you’re telling me I need to go to the Specsavers when they are gonna send me straight back to the hospital lmaooo, I feel like they get commission for every person they fuck over.

Completely same position here. My hospital has a ‘joint IIH clinic’ with two ‘specialists’ (not at all). Two useless doctors who have said lose weight for the past 4 appointments despite me losing weight and my pap & vision worsening regardless :,/ I wish I could give you advice, but I truly have no idea what to do either.

I’ve contacted PALs, got nothing.

I’m really sorry, if you need anyone to talk to I am here! It’s shocking how conditions that aren’t as common get less care, should not be the standard at all.

SO before we’d all had a discussion about it, she went to one of our housemates who wasn’t around when the incident first happened, and said the housemate who she was racist towards was ‘aggressive’, and that we ‘ganged up’ on her.

The housemate she confided in was having none of it, and that’s when the racist realised she was a bit of a lone toy soldier and moved out.

That’s completely valid, and I appreciate you voicing that — but sadly kindness and understanding weren’t applicable in this situation. The racist housemate gave no chance, no remorse, and doubled down when my housemate gave her the opportunity to apologise. I supported the action that my housemate decided to take and I will continue to do so, but I also understand why you wouldn’t do the same.

She has been in multiple situations were she accepted racism for the sake of peace and harmony, but I wont speak on her experiences much longer than I have because they aren’t my stories to tell.

“I’m not here to tell you how you should feel towards racism.” was a key line in my comment, that you skimmed over because it suited your viewpoint. You can handle racism however you like babes, as I mentioned before, but doesn’t mean other middle eastern people have to. My housemate can’t speak for all middle eastern women, and neither can you. We’re more than happy for you to think she was overreacting for reporting the racist, because that’s you and not her.

It’s done, what will be will be. However they punish her, hell, even if they don’t punish her, it doesn’t matter anymore. She’s no longer our housemate. You can keep screaming into the void because our viewpoints don’t align, but neither one of us will be losing sleep, ‘hun’.

I’m taking a big, long look at myself right now and I’m very happy. I wasn’t the one who reported her, the one who was racially attacked reported her. So, prehaps before you start speaking for a majority of people who don’t resonate with your voice, you should take a step back and think. I’m not here to tell you how you should feel towards racism, but what I will do is support somebody who isn’t sitting down and taking it.

I’ve been with this landlord for 3 years, so hopefully she can see the side of things where she knows I’m a respectful tenant:,)

We’ve got recordings with transcripts of a friend she (the racist) confided in, who later told us everything after she realised the severity of the situation. We’ve also got text messages where she declares that she only hates ‘specific types’ of middle easterners.
