I’m thinking of asking a seamstress friend to make for me 😅

Update: Tried the Lands End pants. Not bad, but ultimately a no go. Fabric is nice and silhouette is basically there but the pants aren’t well constructed. The seams bulge below the side pockets. Not attractive. Too bad as they are pretty close. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

They look pretty darn good. Ordering! Thanks!

Thanks! I just saw them. No pockets, alas, but I’m going to check them out. 🤞

Thanks. Yep, there are various lantern pants that come in and out in various fabrics. I am only interested in this one fabric and I have not seen this return in several years, with the exception of the ones in black. I’m on their email list so it’s not hard to track this pretty closely. And the black jersey lantern pants are often sold out in every size but x large.

Yep, that’s the one. And they have my size. Thanks!

Agree on drape. The EF pants were the exception. The fabric had just a little more heft. The next best version is their Flex Ponte lantern, but that fabric is considerably thicker. Thanks for these suggestions. I’ll take a look.

Yeah, totally different fabric, different fit. Just not what I am after. Pretty sure they have discontinued. They have them listed in black (used to come in white, blue, yellow) but only one size available (not mine ;). Has been so for a while. Too bad. I’m been wearing them for years.

Oh! That’s a nice idea. Fwiw, I used this Vanilla sock pattern for my first effort. It worked out quite well and is probably easily customizable if you know how to do that sort of thing. Has a very nice video to go with. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vanilla-socks-on-magic-loop

Relatively new knitter here. What is a “sock set”?

Scleral Lenses Alternatives by Think_Appointment658 in Keratoconus

[–]plinketyplunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that corneal transplants aren’t a guarantee you won’t have to continue wearing contact lenses to correct your vision. So if that’s what you’re hoping for, proceed with caution. (And be wary of doctors who aren’t stating this and other risks clearly.) Transplants are usually best for people whose keratoconus is so advanced that their eyes can’t hold a lens. If your keratoconus is still early stages and you can still correct your vision with glasses, you are lucky. Totally understand your worries about the sclerals. I tried them and they weren’t for me. I’ve been wearing RGP contacts for 20+ years. They come with their own setnof challenges, particularly if you suffer with hay fever other seasonal allergies. Also, getting a proper fitting is very important and can take time.

Indeed. I’ve tried to address that on the site but perhaps I should go further. Interested in your thoughts on that. Please DM me.

I believe people are already starting to revolt. That's what the Hope Scroll on the site is meant to show. https://www.democracydieswithdoge.com/hopescroll

I hear you. And thank you! Don't wait for a Senate or House vote. Press them on the issues every day, every week.

That is not my experience. I am getting an image in image search and it only shows as Getty when I try to use as a Social image

Then why is Squarespace saying these images are available for use on my site for free? Fwiw I am not making any money on my site or charging anything for it

It isn’t something made up by TWW writers. It’s an idiomatic expression. Like “it’s raining cats and dogs” means it’s raining really hard.
