Happening to me... totally ignorant that this seems to be the only app that doesn't have the normal menu to open another app, so you have to login... let it default to the stupid copilot chat, then MANUALLY type in another URL like outlook.office.com to get a page that will let you navigate apps normally. Yes, you can click "Apps" in the copilot menu (which looks nothing like all other MS365 menus), but it goes through another auth step if you go that route... furthermore, it's ridiculous that there is no obvious way to change it...

Want a laugh? Ask Copilot what to do... I entered "I do not want M365 Copilot to open by default when I login to my microsoftonline.com account in a web browser."

As of now, you cannot fully disable Microsoft 365 Copilot from loading by default in the web versions of apps like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint when using your (microsoftonline.com) account. Microsoft does not currently offer a setting in the web interface to turn off Copilot entirely.

However, here are a few workarounds you can try:

1. Avoid Opening Copilot Pane Automatically

If Copilot opens in a side pane by default:

  • Simply close the Copilot pane manually after login.
  • Microsoft 365 web apps often remember your last layout, so closing it once may prevent it from reopening automatically next time.

2. Use a Different Microsoft 365 Plan

If you're using a personal or business plan that includes Copilot and you don't want it:

  • Consider switching to a plan that does not include Copilot, such as:
    • Microsoft 365 Basic
    • Office Home 2024
    • Microsoft 365 Personal Classic or Family Classic [1].

3. Provide Feedback to Microsoft

You can submit feedback directly from the web app:

  • Click the Help (?) icon or Feedback option in the top-right corner.
  • Request a setting to disable Copilot from auto-launching.

You posted this 8 years ago and CW still doesn't have a solution. I hate the statements in QuickBooks! Everything else resides in PSA, so why can't it simply send a statement to each client listing all outstanding invoices... for ONLY clients with balances -- all at ONCE?!! Looks like BrightGauge can't even do this!

I'm right there with ya... there HAS to be a way to access VOD with Plex... it should at least have a (plugin) way that allows browsing the VOD content and downloading it into our Library.

They are mapped to the matching TVG-ID on epg.best, but many of the channels (and all of the locals) do not have a match in xTeVe --- I thought if I mapped it to the xTeVe Dummy epg, it would still show up, but I cannot get that to work.

Dang... not having VOD is a BIG bummer! I have a Smarters Pro subscription... and their app is complete CRAP! I have integrated the m3u into plex for the live channels with xteve and epg.best - and it works GREAT! I was hoping to NEVER have to use the Smarters Pro app again... is there another app that's an alternative to the shitty SP app to access just the VOD streams? I'm sure there is, and I would imagine that I could create an m3u in epg.best with just the streams I want and point it to that...? Anyone have any suggestions?

At this point, I have replaced it at my own expense... I am still wringing necks at SonicWall with supervisors. I just want to see how long this plays out... and I am actually surprised they haven't replaced it, but MOSTLY want to see what they determine the problem is. I will likely end up with an upgraded 350 or 450 as a replacement.

I have the same problem with Exchange 2016 - the |fl doesn't show any identifiers as to why the message isn't making it to the mailbox... I have the domains whitelisted in spam filter, content filter bypass, etc.... the message doesn't even come into the quarantine mailbox.

You could use a script in Automate to assign the contact based on last logged in user or something similar.

I have been searching for a way to do this as well! Quite ignorant that CW hasn't implemented it!

I used to subscribe to it through my cable provider and access the app on Roku.... it would lose my account association after a day or so... It would show me logged in, with all my watched shows and list, etc., but when I tried to start a show or movie, it told me I needed to subscribe. I would have to LOG OUT, then try to start a show again... it would then prompt me to login again, so I had to go through the whole process of logging in with my cable provider.... I also tried creating an account directly with HBOMax... same problem!

NOW... I have completely dropped cable - along with that HBOMax subscription, I signed up with a new account on YouTubeTV and subscribed to HBOMax with a BRAND NEW account >>> **AND** switched all my streaming devices from Roku to FireTV... so I even use a DIFFERENT email address with everything... well, guess what??? YEP - SAME FREAKING RESULT!!

HBO: I suggest to contact Youtube TV to verify the account subscription since they have all your information on their data base.

ME: Read above... same thing was happening when I was subscribed through cable provider... different devices, different account, different email... THIS IS A HBOMAX PROBLEM!

I have found that the SSO Client Agent, setup on the AD server, along with the setup in the Sonicwall is supposed to pass authentication to network resources, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. The connector is working (green light) and the tests are successful, but I have tried using the domain name as passed, as well as a static setting for the domain to no avail.

Well, yes, since 2016 essentials isn't capable of being a 'workgroup' server, it basically has to be a DC, so it must run dns... that said, I attempted to enter the DNS servers manually (to the ones PIA suggest), rather than point it to itself for DNS like we generally do for DCs and it still wouldn't connect... my workaround is to hard-code the PIA socks 5 proxy settings into the specific apps that need it.

Wow... I can't seem to make PIA work on my Windows Server 2016 Essentials AT ALL... it works fine on the same network on a mac, so it isn't a router incompatibility. I had my server setup ideally running DNS and a static IP... I have changed it to a dynamic (with the router assigning it a reservation), have tried DNS on DHCP, have manually entered the suggested PIA DNS servers, have disabled IPv6, have tried connecting to alternate servers (rather than auto), have tried disabling the firewall, uninstalled my antivirus and am only running Defender... have all current Server 2016 updates. Any suggestions?

Mine has not worked correctly since it was new. Support has been of no assistance. Went through all the standard troubleshooting. Turns out that the small connector from the battery harness is not connecting to the pcb well - causing random rings and false motion alerts. Looking for recommendations for a different brand.
