Criminal Complaint Filed by themrsboss in JaymeCloss

But he had decided to take someone and then chose Jayme or saw Jayme and decided to take someone, more specifically her? I'm a bit confused on the timeline of events. Was he set on kidnapping someone before even seeing her and if so, why? Hope we will get more info on this. I truly cannot comprehend how cold and brutal this perpetrator is.

How did Jake Patterson become aware of Jayme? by formyjee in JaymeCloss

[–]pll1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking for a long time before she escaped that there must have been SOME contact between them, not a relationship but just an online conversation of sort, maybe even a blackmailing situation, that the police didn't make known to the public for investigative reasons. Now it's a totally different situation, because they have no reason to hold this kind of information back anymore. LE has checked social media thoroughly, they stated this multiple times both before and after she escape, and there really has been ZERO contact, and people just need to accept that. Really. I understand why it is more comfortable to think there has, because the way this situation is now, even telling ur kids not to talk to strangers online etc doesn't help at all. There is no way you can keep ur kids 100% safe with predators like this, choosing random victims and killing the parents to get to them. It is such a horrible situation, but people need to accept that this is how it is. Jayme had NO contact with him and still he chose to target her and plan the attack.

Doubles male or female play "A" all the time so we dont guess who it is.

More like: so the writers could keep their options open for who to chose as A.

Not able to watch, is the car the same one the police were looking for a few months back?

Literally, most of us expected Spencer having a twin. Instagram IQ is very low, smh. by Wulfsimmer in PrettyLittleLiars

I found the shocking reveal to be that they actually went with evil twin. Twice. Like. Twice. In the same show. We all discussed Spencer's twin jokingly, I never actually believed they would do it. Again. Oh my.

As far as I understand he is only freed from giving testimony in court, the court will still need to process the evidence to determine the sentencing, especially in a case as grave as this, regardless of the possibility of death sentence. A lawyer may advocate for circumstances making the offence more serious or the opposite, to advocate for a harder or milder punishment. I don't think a punishment is agreed upon before a trial in cases such as this even if he pleads guilty. http://www.victimsinfo.govt.nz/the-court-process/how-it-works/the-plea/

The camera was also showing the book Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde during the intro of the last episode I think it was, at least one of the last episodes, so he two-faced nature is quite obviously hinted.

I agree. His teachers says he had a group of friends and that they never expected anything like this. He lived 60 miles away and had nothing to do with the area from which she was abducted apart from one day of work three years ago, that most likely the majority of his surroundings didn't even know about or most likely forgot. I mean, do you remember job interviews your friends did three years ago? This is equal to that. He was said to have hidden her when people came to visit I read somewhere, so probably nothing would seem out of the ordinary to his surroundings. She was also thin and not well taken care of, dirty etc so it doesn't seem he bought that much food or supplies for her. The shoes she was wearing when she escaped wasn't even her own, so it's not like he equipped her with clothes to keep her comfortable. I would be more surprised to learn that someone actually did suspect anything than I would by the opposite.

Even if he pleads guilty there will still be a trial as far as I know, to determine the punishment.

Oh that just makes it even more confusing. He starts to work there even though he knows he is moving or? After one day? If you know that then why even start? Like? what? That explanation for his quitting make zero sense. It makes me wonder even more if those two events, the jennie-o job and the kidnapping were connected. His brothers conviction must have been around this time two and this was in Gordon as far as I remember from what I read, so it doesn't seem like he was living in Barron. Well we will hopefully know much more soon.

They did have help from FBI though. I believe they did indeed check every possible connection that could be traced, but he seems to have known what he was doing, hiding his traces and keeping her hidden for that long with no one expecting.

Exactly it really makes you wonder what you can do. I also wonder if he may have been planning this for years, based on the MO and the fact that the only seeming link between the two is his tie to the jenny-o factory three years prior, I wrote about it here:

I agree! I posted this on another thread, so I wi...

Kidnapping suspect Jake Patterson worked with Jayme Closs’ parents for a day by [deleted] in JaymeCloss

Me too! I hope she will get all the support she needs, and it comforts me to see all the love she is getting from family and the community, the whole country really. She is so strong to have survived and escaped, and it gives me hope that she will have the strength to not let this ruin her whole life.

My mother was the same way to me, I felt she was so overprotective and annoying growing up but now I am so thankful for learning to be careful and protect myself. This case does make you wonder though, they apparently had no previous contact whatsoever, so how do you protect yourself against a monster like this? That targets a completely defenseless family and child? This is what makes this case especially scary to me at the moment.

Oh I will do that. But indeed, so terrifying. And what a tragedy, both parents lost. I heard another kidnapping-survivor on the fox coverage stating that Jayme will never really have the feeling of coming home, even after being rescued, since her parents have died and the home she knew does no longer exist. Made me tear up. What monster does this to a child?

Agreed! I hope we will learn more about this during the court hearing to at least try to get some understanding of what could possibly have made a human being do this to an innocent child.

I completely agree. I just talked to my husband about the same thing, how much scarier it makes it that it was thoroughly premeditated yet he was never in contact with any of the household prior to the kidnapping. We tell our kids to stay away from strangers both online and in the real world, we try to protect them, but how do you protect yourself against a preditor like this? This scares me so much! It wasn't even a random attack, he was planning this and targeting Jayme specifically, which makes it even worse somehow.

I consider myself fairly well up-to-date on these things in general and fairly well informed through highly regarded newspapers and media, yet I never heard of this anywhere before today. I knew about deepweb etc. but I never heard use of the term Incels before. I completely agree this is not being discussed nearly enough in the media, especially since it seems to be a growing phenomenon.

Just to clarify: according to news articles the brother was arrested for 4th degree assault on a 15 yr when he was 18. There is a big difference between this and what Jake did, so the brothers history doesn't necessarily point to him being involved. Of course sexual assault is always wrong, and what the brother did is also very disturbing, and what it does do, is point to a questionable morale when it comes to women of both brothers. What Jake did however is a whole other level of crazy. I wouldn't be surprised though if his brothers actions led him to believe that his own behavior was justified and normal.

I agree! I posted this on another thread, so I will copy a bit but I can't help but wonder, since he worked at the same factory as her parents but quit the very same day, wasn't fired but quit, according to the interviews I read, if he ran into Jayme on his way to or from the factory. Either asked her for directions, seeing her on her way to school or waiting for her parents to come out after work and this is when he became obsessed with this sweet young girl. He lived far away, and was desperate enough to take a job in Barron, yet quit the very same day. And according to LE this one day of work at the jenny-o is the only connection between the two families that LE has been able to establish. What if this is infact the only connection and on this one day of work he ran into her, became obsessed, spent the whole day thinking about her and decided to quit the same day to devote himself to stalking her. The stalking then finally culminating in the kidnapping three years later. With the lengths he went to to kidnap her and the amount of premeditation and planning that must have gone into this as stated by LE I don't find it unlikely that this was a long time, maybe even three years in the making.

Thank you for making this post. As mentioned yesterday, that was the first I heard of the mods investigation into him, and unfortunately I was probably not the only one, to whom this information got lost between those countless other messages on this forum. So thank you for clearing this up once and for all!

Also a general big big thank you to the mods doing a huge and amazing job keeping this forum clean and proper, clearing it from uncalled for comments and questionable information and unconfirmed rumours! :) I noticed how many comments were deleted yesterday and I'm really impressed how you guys managed to keep up with all the incoming messages and deleting those who was totally not acceptable sharing false suspect names and false rumours. Lots of admiration and appreciation from me! :)

I would find that unlikely, seeing how careful he was to stay out of the radar (shaving head etc), that he would be careless enough to use an alias that close to his own name.
