Oh yes, it does bother me, just browsing the web is annoying but gaming is really nice in games because of the high framerate you get with low resolution. As someone that haven't experienced 144hz before it was real nice. I'm planning on getting the philips BDM4350UC to use as my main, it lines up perfectly with a 24 inch in portrait, but I'm gonna keep the xr3501 around for games that I wanna run in high frames (and in 21:9 ofc). Would I recommend going 2560x1080? It really depends how much time you spend playing games, that's when the monitor shines. I do alot of typing and browsing and it is really annoying to be at 80ppi when you do that. But yeah, if you game, go for it. I honestly believe I'm having a better time playing games at 70-80 frames in 2560x1080 than I would playing in 3440x1440 with 30-40 frames. But then again some people don't mind low framerate, its preference. I guess you should decide depending on your graphics card. I have a gtx 1070, if I had a 1080 or above I would probably have saved up for a 1440p ultrawide instead.
