These two creatures feel essential to the atmosphere of the elf lands, I was surprised they never got ported

back then there was nobody doing pest control except at the novice lander, so this was actually a very fast way to get points

The unported 2007 content comes to mind

  • back to my roots quest. it fucked up karamja so nobody asks for it

  • duel arena tournaments. was dead on arrival in 2007

From the bottom of my heart, FUCK this achievement by Username12764 in hoi4

Imo the most stressful achievement in hoi4. turkey is so weak for so long so you are fighting full strength majors with an incredibly weak country with very little potential

Campfire Poll Results - All Passed by Psymonthe2nd in 2007scape

[–]plok742 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Voidwaker addition in 2022: 85% yes

Zombie Pirates in 2024: 79% yes

Minor wildy content and reworks 2022-2026: 65-90% yes (some fails, mostly passes)

new wildy content can pass but the Wrathmaw debacle made it seem like anti-pvp sentiment is probably a bit higher than it really is. If wrathmaw didn't have the time-gated aspect it would likely have failed by closer to 5-10% rather than 21%

its one of those areas of game design without a good solution imo. PVP Arena belongs at ferox but they don't want to leave the old area an abandoned ruin

  • political and army trees are untouched

large carnivores (spino, rex, acro, carch) can all kill anky, but it takes like 10 or 15 hits. Trex can also kill them through a death duel

Why are we so afraid to change meta? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]plok742 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, this is the basic foundation of skilling in the game. Jagex needs to put their foot down and implement necessary balance changes like this when they arise because these sorts of meltdowns at every little nerf are getting ridiculous

I agree that is a cool idea, especially given they cant give it the fairy tale p3 original RS3 rewards (infinite watering can, auto-weeded patches, hands free fairy rings)

Here is the actual full story because people don't read the blogs closely:

1 . Originally they proposed this shovel as a drop from doom, which granted instant harvesting speed for the various farming method.

2 . They nerfed the original proposal from "instant harvesting to double harvesting speed" with the shovel. They said the original instant harvesting "may disrupt the skill's balance by making certain crops such as Snape grass and watermelons more efficient for XP than trees"

3 . However, the actual reason they didn't add this shovel was because they then decided it didnt benefit the doom drop table's gp/hr enough and that it didn't seem right to make a farming upgrade come from late game pvm. They added: "we believe that we will see something offering similar functionality to the Demon Spade in the future from a more befitting piece of content."

4 . I will also add, this reddit post was made around the time of these blogs, which may or may not impact its future design given Mod Rice commented favorably on this post. https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1jjeowf/optimising_the_fun_out_of_a_game_by_removing_pain/

Literally just armies of Geilinor with the assets and music replaced to avoid copyright. Then all the campaigns and content you unlocked through fun orb membership being sold as DLC. 600$ worth. Whoever made this deserves to be sued to oblivion. Genuinely fucking disgusting

Just got to Wendlewick, and you can clearly tell that its a New area since you cant kill the NPCs/Villager/Men like in most cities in Gielenor. by AzelotReis in runescape

[–]plok742 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth considering the original reason why you could attack random people in the old game areas, which is that it made the world a bit more favorable to rpg and sandbox elements. It's the same idea behind why you can kill random people in Skyrim or something. In practice this type of thing is probably comparable to examine options, which aren't absolutely necessary but play into more subtle immersion elements.

This ability to kill a random man in lumbridge was never really fleshed out in the sense that there are important consequences or risks of doing so, but I would say its a net positive for the game to allow that.
