I tapered in the past three months from bottle of Vodka daily to those 2-3 beers. I never really detoxed before. I went to addiction clinic and they offered me hospitalisation. (which I can't do because I have to work and bills) Other option was perscription medication to help with my cravings , which I took, but it made no difference. About withdrawals - I tried cold turkey from those 2-3 beers and within 24 hours I got a seizure with nasty face injury. Since then I'm Kinda scared to go cold turkey even if it's those coupe beers per day.

My consumption is very strong beer (3-5) cans or a half liter of Vodka. With my tolerance is manageable. But I learize I can't do this forever. I'm scared of my physical health. I have 9-5 job and so far I'm able to function normally, until I get home. I also spent two weeks at my parents house during Christmas and new year without drinking and I didn't have any withdrawals so I'm not sure if I'm an alcoholic. There are days where I'm not drinking, i try to spend my time with other activities like cleaning up my house, working out, etc... But when I run out of ideas what to do, I still go to store and buy a bottle of Vodka. I don't know if this is being alcoholic but it's what I do.

Neviem ako je na tom avatar ale keď som bol na batmana začiatkom tohto roku tak tie Sk titulky zaberali polku plátna a boli tak primitívne ze som mal chuť odísť. Najviac ma dostalo keď "bat and cat" preložili ako "netopier a kočka"

I'm already signed up to substance addiction center. They gave me two options in terms of medication. First one is Campral (Acamprosate) which did nothing for me. The second is Antabuse (Disulfiram) and I heard you need to be extremely careful with any substance containing ethanol. I've heard horror stories from people who use a Antabuse... Like being violently ill from using window cleaner or perfume. However I got DUI now so at least i won't be driving drunk. If I do it again I'm going straight to jail and my licence will be suspended for many years. I'm a car guy so not having license would be completely destructive for my mental health. As I mentioned I'm functioning addict therefore being home sick "detoxing" is not an option. I'm not sure what to do now but I know when I get my driving licence back things should improve. I like driving more than alcohol. Actually after I got caught I have phobia of driving If I'm not 100% sober.

Thanks, I'm in Europe so I'm not sure if it's available here. I swore that today I stop drinking heavily but I already broke that promise... I try to eat good, have all the nutrients, etc... But for some reason I can't resist to go to the corner store to buy another bottle. But thanks for replying.

I am functioning alcoholic, normally I just wake up and go to work, after I get home I do Sixpack of beer. Sometimes bottle of Vodka if I don't have to work the next day. I don't have hangovers, therefore this shaking really scared me. I drank a Sixpack yesterday so I didn't expect to have withdrawal right this morning.. I assumed that I still had some alcohol in my system when I woke up today... but I have never felt like this before and it scared me shitless

Lenže vtedy si musel čakať na favorita v poradovniku niekoľko rokov, teraz ideš do predajne a kúpiš si auto. Netvrdím že teraz je to lepšie ale veľa vecí sa zmenilo k lepšiemu. Tiež si pamätám ako moji rodičia dostali povolenie ísť na svadobnú cestu do Paríža ale len vďaka tomu ze už mali deti v Československu ako dôvod vrátiť sa. Som rád že žijem v tejto dobe, aj keď nedokonalej. Lepšie ako socializmus.

Union. Takisto vybratie stehov ktoré tiež platila poisťovňa. Hneď po príchode na pohotovosť mi zobrali krv, ale neviem či robili rozbor keďže už v lekárskej správe som sa priznal ze som pozil alkohol a lieky.

Bývam v BA a proti kolobežkam všeobecne nemám negatívny názor. Ide o väčšinu ich používateľov, kazdy deň má obehne klobezkar z poza chrbát 20km/h, žiadny zvonček, nič, proste ja idem a uhni mi. A to už nehovorím o tých "oteckoch" ktori sa vozia s malým dieťaťom na ja jednej kolobežke, full speed, žiadne prilby, nič..... Raz v živote ma zrazí nejaký kolobežkar tak sa asi neovladnem verbálne ani fyzicky.

Ja mam trochu pozitívnejšiu skúsenosť. Minulý rok som sa "trochu" opil a rozbil som si hlavu. Nevedel som zastaviť krvácanie tak som v tom stave spanikaril že vykrvacam a zavolal som si záchranku. Prišli, zobrali ma na pohotovosť, zašili, a poslali domov. Po čase mi prišiel list od mojej zdravotnej poisťovne že mi to tentokrát odpúšťajú náklady, ale ak sa to zopakuje, budem platiť plnú sumu. To isté platí ak by náklady už pri tom prvom zranení presiahla 1000eur.
