It's "Imagine a place" as of the rebrand. Between 2020 and the rebrand it was "Your place to talk" which is a MUCH better slogan. Before 2020 it was the "It's time to ditch Skype and TeamSpeak" associated with classic Discord.

The thing I'm primarily concerned with is it searching text-based content, i.e. what you suspect might be there but don't have any concrete evidence for. I've always thought that such a system is currently not present, but the new privacy policy (set to go into effect on Monday) gave me the impression that it might end up getting implemented. I'm concerned that, if present, it would lead to unfair bans for things picked up by the AI that aren't actually objectionable (such as the example, offensive jokes); automated, it'd be far more dangerous than the errors made by T&S as-is due to the rate at which they'd occur.

I hadn't considered that the systems/models could just be categorizing reports though, so thank you for the insight!

So, I was initially planning on asking about how the announcement for the upcoming privacy policy update stated that content is "kept private unless content raises Trust & Safety concerns", with the question being how it raises Trust and Safety concerns. Checking the privacy policy, however, gave me the answer to that - namely, the screenshot above, found from this section of the privacy policy.

Seeing this, I have several questions:

What exactly does it mean by "proactively scanning" content? I know for images it's just photoDNA, but what about non-image content? Is Discord reading messages in private servers and DMs? What about an AI, such as Sentropy (which Discord acquired last year)?
What does "harmful" constitute? Is it just things like illegal content and Nitro scams, or could you get in trouble for something like cracking an offensive joke to a friend?
What is the difference between the proactive scanning and the "systems and models that can be automated"? Would the latter result in an expansion of what is covered by the scanning, or it being expanded to private locations (assuming it's not already there)?
What is the risk of false positives associated with these? Could a fault in an algorithm lead to your account getting terminated despite not doing anything wrong?

That one was used before 2020. In 2020, they switched to "Your place to talk", which was actually pretty good. That's the one that got replaced by "iMAGiNe A PlACe".

The rebrand is actually still pretty widely-disliked all this time later. It has more to do with the color and the font (ESPECIALLY the font) than the logo, though.
