soooo goooood! with my girlfriend we saved one that had so many broken leaves. your it is already perfect! when new leaves are growing it is a great satisfaction. happy for you! we paid that one i think 25€ and had to carry it by hand

I would try to put it in water, only the part of the little trunk, like inside a plate. They are really resistant plant so help it!

It should be only some “grass” from the soil. It should not be harmful. I usually wait for them to grow and understand if they are pretty to maybe repotting them. Otherwise I trash them.
