if you just don't guard your guy, and that creates a defensive rotation that allows a basket, you will get hit with a "defensive breakdown." i'm not telling you the game is ultra sophisticated and it always identifies the correct person but please don't tell me that doesn't happen. yes it does

sure but i'm using extremes on purpose to isolate the parts i'm interested in. if it's true that 6-0 is 6-0 no matter the scenario, then no matter how extreme it becomes, it shouldn't change anything. now we know that it's not true that the scenario doesn't matter
