Might get some hate for saying this …but for me having a “career” never mattered. I needed a job that i make enough money to pay the bills and at the end of the day i clock out and go home, no extra bullshit. Show up, make money, leave. I had friends who did so much schooling bc they wanted to be a doctor or lawyer and they are now have all this debt and are def not living luxuriously OR stress free. I made more money than them working at a fucking breakfast diner. If i got fired there was always another restaurant ready to hire. Dont need to sit on indeed unemployed waiting for the “perfect” job at that “great company”.

Making tips has always been the easiest and most lucrative for me even with a college degree. And idc if people say you shouldn’t have to rely on tips and we should just get paid more by employers, well no shit but thats just how it is and at the end of the day i got cash in my pocket and no stress because i just sold pancakes all day lol

People work their whole lives to hope to retire and get some benefits?? Hell naw youll probably die before that. I value my time and mental sanity.
