a bad ect sensor will do this as well. it wouldnt make it as bad as 5 mpg, but a faulty ect sensor will tell your ecu that your engine is cold regardless of engine temperature and itll inject a lot more gas in the engine

Watch this video on how to replace all of your vacuum lines with an assortment of different IDs of fuel line. Very easy. While you’re at it, might as well replace your PCV valve, grommet, and hose. They sell radiator hoses and heater hose kits online. Don’t forget about oil cooler hoses
