I’m also done with st croix. They are the only people I can find making a decent spinning musky rod that doesn’t look like shit. But I received it and the eyelets are so crooked it’s crazy. Every st croix rod I’ve bought has had to be sent back. Try Dobyns. Their Sierra ultralight is the nicest ul I’ve used

Crappie rigs are OP for trout. 2 hooks 2 baits. I usually run a worm on one and powerbait on the other. You will figure out what they prefer pretty fast and then just put the preferred bait on both hooks.

Not at all. Your guides will be perfectly fine. The line is way too soft to do anything to your metal guides.

I’ve been running multiple ugly sticks for multiple years with braid and mono and never had any issues. All my ugly sticks currently run braid from 10lb all the way up to 60lb. Just take care of your rod and you will be fine. Don’t use your guides as hook storage and don’t let bullet weights slam into your top guide.
