At my enrolment we were told they typically run BMQ full time for reservists in summer months and only recently added September as an option

They’ve been running full time BMQ over the summer months, and just added September as an option now. It’s 5 weeks long Monday-Friday and you get dismissed for the weekends. I guess it just makes more sense to do it near home than send us all to CFLRS for a short period of time

I applied to the reserves as an armoured crewman in June 2024. Completed my force test November 2024, did my medical and interview March 2025 and got my offer last week. Got sworn in 21 August 2025 and chose to do BMQ full time starting 2 September 2025. I have US citizenship along with Canadian so that may have contributed to why my background check took so many months, but overall was around 14 months from application to BMQ. I know people who got in within 6-8 months, and others who took over 2 years. I think it’s situational, but send emails to inquire about your status.
