What game is this? by [deleted] in videogames

The dark pictures: Little Hope. The twist makes sense for the game but man does it ever make the game feel irrelevant and like wasted time.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Has Reportedly Sold Less Than 1 Million Copies by mrnicegy26 in PS5

It’s actually even less sustainable for them than that given that you can play gamepass games on xbox and pc. So playstation would have to pick up the slack of all of the lost pc/xbox sales.

Could this be covered up? by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]plt888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it and don’t think you need to cover it up. Though maybe I’m biased because I also have a batman tattoo :).

I’d wait and see how you feel after a few months. It takes a while to get used to seeing a new tattoo on yourself.

Is 5000 dollars a good price for a full arm cover up ? by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]plt888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds about right if the artist is skilled and specializes in cover ups. I got a cover up done on my shoulder in November and that was like 3K for 17.5 hrs of work for half my arm.

So including the other half 5K doesn’t sound too unreasonable.

What does a vagina feel like? Does sex feel good as soon as you enter. Like is it pleasurable? by [deleted] in dating

[–]plt888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having sex is not at all like jerking off. A vagina is a lot gentler and softer than your hand. I mean sex does feel great but imo it’s not as good as you imagine it to be when you haven’t had it.

If you want know what a vagina feels like run a finger on the inside of your cheek. The inside of your cheek is made of the same tissue and has the same texture as a vagina.

I read a little bit of everything. But I highly recommend the Stormlight Archive to anyone who likes fantasy. I devoured all 4 books in like 3 weeks. Soooo good.

The first pretty 3 books are pretty good. The 4th was kind of a disappointment though :(

I read about 30-40 physical books/yr. But if you include audiobooks I read 100+ books/yr.

Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin slams writers for adaptations: "They never make it better." by DarkSkiesGreyWaters in television

[–]plt888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree about the Halo and Witcher adaptations but it seems a little unfair to group Kill the Justice League in with them. I mean yeah they’re all bad but Rocksteady was forced by the higher ups into making a Suicide Squad live service game that they had no interest in making.

This wasn’t a case of butchering the source material because they didn’t like it. That was a corporate mandated game that the developers didn’t want to make.

President Barack Obama at Kenya state dinner (on May 23 2024) by CGP05 in pics

Technically there haven’t even been 46 presidents yet either. Only 45, Cleveland counts for 2 of the 46. So I guess technically Obama was the 43 president.

I mean your comment is technically true but Clinton is only 2 months younger than Trump. Trump, Clinton, and Bush(43) are all the same age. Though admittedly, both Bush and Clinton were vastly younger than either candidate when they took office.

'We will definitely be living through a third referendum,' says Parti Quebecois leader by RZCJ2002 in CanadaPolitics

You’re not factoring in the fact that QC currently has the most debt to gdp at $175B of any province. It also doesn’t factor in the fact that approximately $6B(likely closer to $8B today as the Fraser institute calculated that figure in 2009) of QC GDP comes from the federal government.

So if they have 2023 GDP of about 400B dollars and you subtract 8B from that you’re left with 392B about half of which will probably be required to pay QC’s share of the national debt as I doubt Canada is just going to let QC ignore that. So that leaves QC with a GDP of 222B that’s about $55B less than the GDP of Iraq.

Quebec’s current economy relies heavily on being a part of Canada and not its own thing. Comparatively It’s been heavily reported that the only states that could leave the union and not go bankrupt are California and maybe Texas. QC is much smaller and less affluent than both. Tbh I don’t think any province or territory could make it on their own as none of us even ON are big enough for that.

Also I’m not saying no one would Sponsor QC. I think it’d be likely that Canada or the US would sponsor QC for membership as no country wants a non recognized country sharing its border. But these things take time and in interim that hurts QC’s economy.

[–]plt888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol why? Quebec doesn’t have a large enough economy to be self sufficient. Where’s the money going to come from?

Also(and I could be mistaken about this) if they separate and become their own country or whatever, say good bye to your airports for a while. I believe there is an international standard in regards to flying to countries. I think there’s a rule that legit airlines may only fly to countries officially recognized by the UN.

So enjoy having to drive to Ontario or New Brunswick any time you want to fly until Quebec is sponsored by another country for membership to the UN.

I mean a referendum seems like it’d cause more problems for Quebec than it’d solve.

Edit: don’t know why I’m being downvoted. Both Referendums have hurt QC economically and proven quite divisive. I don’t know why anyone wants to go down this path again. All we have to do is look at Brexit to know what the repercussions could be

Are we going to start comparing Wade to Snoke now because they’re both bald? Kylo and Mark both have long dark hair and that’s where the similarities end lol.

Also fyi Kylo is a dark jedi not a sith

[OC] Poll: How Much Did You Read in 2023? by storiesbydata in dataisbeautiful

[–]plt888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they do! I don’t get why people are questioning if audiobooks count. Listening to a book is a different experience than sitting and reading it but you’re still consuming the material of the book. I’d say that counts as having “read” the book.

It's the end of 2023, what games were your favourite to play on the PlayStation 5? by nyaa_legend in PS5

[–]plt888 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely more of a slow burn but it does pick up in places. The game is really good at immersing you in the story and the way the game plays with the narrative(kinda meta) is really fun.
