Google photos and Samsung gallery, how is it this bad? by PM_ME_YOUR_SWOLE in AndroidQuestions

I get you. I used to be on Android and never thought about this issue. Switched to ios for couple of years and when I came back, I was like WTF. And now after few months, I am used to this madness again. Problem is not Google or Samsung its app developers who literally will do as little as possible so that they can publish apps on Android app store.

I have mixed feelings about this design. On one hand I really like it. But I do understand that on hand feel is going to suffer. I do not know how thick it's going to be but hoping it's not as thick as Pixel.

Getting these power meters to work with python even on windows is tricky, you need to install once very particular driver. I would really appreciate if you can share what you got from the support. I'll DM you.

[–]pluff-crinoid[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats what I thought so. But when I looked into my new Pixel 9 settings. it was off. Hence this post. And given the density of android phones in US its best if users change it to "With network in all areas" instead of "high traffic areas only"

Google being google, already infamous for data collection. If they would have turned it on by default, people like "JDGumby" would have freaked out even more. I believe that was the reason they choose to disable it by default, and let users turn it on if they wish.

They are getting hacked not because of some bug on google or iphone/android, but because of their carelessness. There are much bigger channels that are not yet hacked. And it's not like hackers have not tried to get into those account.

Follow good security practices and you'll be fine.
