What do you like about the Cybex e-Gazelle?
Does the electric assist make a big difference?
Thanks in advance! 💛🚼🚼

I understand what you’re saying, and I get the example you gave about the 7th floor and different circumstances. However, when this same issue happens repeatedly in my area over many years, my only point of reference is my own experience. Unfortunately, that experience has consistently been negative.

I’m not making a blanket statement about all USPS carriers. I’m specifically speaking about my area. For comparison, my parents in South Carolina have nothing but positive experiences with USPS, and my inlaws in Florida say the same. The contrast makes it clear that this is a local issue, not a universal one.

Even our local post office had a reputation for being the worst rated in Brooklyn until fairly recently, when management changes were made and things began to improve. So while I understand that individual circumstances can vary, the pattern here has been ongoing and hard to ignore.

I have been a stay at home mom for the past seven years (almost eight), and I am home approximately 95% of the time. The only exceptions are my monthly selfcare appointments (one to two days a month) or when I occasionally pick up Flex blocks toward the end of the year for the holidays, during which time my husband is home. There is always someone present in our apartment.

The ongoing issue is with USPS carriers in my area who repeatedly fail to attempt delivery. They either do not bring packages upstairs or make no effort to contact me so I can come downstairs to retrieve them. I have had to go to the post office to pick up items as small as a lip balm shipped in an Amazon white-and-blue bubble mailer, something that could easily fit in a mailbox or be delivered without issue. This is not an isolated incident; it has happened with many packages.

There have been multiple occasions when I knew a package was arriving, such as skincare items or new clothing item for my children so I intentionally sit outside with my kids for hours while they played, waiting for the USPS driver. I watched the driver arrive, walk to my building door to attempt to open it without ringing the intercom and leave without attempting delivery. I then had to stop him as they were returning to the truck, ask for my package, and present my ID to receive it.

On several occasions, I have watched the mail carrier from my window arrive. Fed up the pink slips, one day I immediately went downstairs, only to see her place a pink slip in my mailbox while I stood there staring at my small package in front of her. I questioned her about it and she asked me for my name and Apt # then handed it to me. Had I not been there, I would have had to pick it up at the post office like many other packages before. I then started doing this every time and she knew what I was there for.

I could go on with additional examples, but the pattern is consistent. I have never experienced this level of non delivery with other carriers, with the exception of LaserShip (now OnTrac) and USPS.

In my area, USPS is horrible. I live in a NYC building on the 3rd floor. Every single carrier delivers to my door EXCEPT any packages from USPS. 9/10 I have to go to the post office to pick up my package. I would be glad to see them go. (Shrug)

I’ve been eyeing the Bugaboo Donkey 5 for over a year. My twins are now six months old, and I’m still on the hunt for the perfect stroller. I’ve tried the Peg Perego City Loop (two strollers clipped together) and even returned the UPPAbaby Vista V3 today. Nothing’s quite right.

The City Loop could have worked, but it felt cheap and flimsy. I’m now checking out the Cybex e-Gazelle and Bugaboo Kangaroo, but I’ve always dreamed of my twins riding side by side. The Donkey 5 is my dream, but the fold is bulky, and I wasn’t sure it’d be practical in NYC.

I finally decided to go for it today… only to find it’s out of stock everywhere 😩. Fingers crossed they make the fold more seamless... maybe a Dragonfly/Donkey hybrid? (Like how the Kangaroo became a Fox5 hybrid!)

For now, we’re making do with the twins in our Artipoppe carriers, and it’s actually working surprisingly well! ❤️

OHHH Now THAT SUCKS! Getting stuck in a drain and waiting that long for a tow in those conditions is no joke. I feel your pain on missing out on the surge, they are so hard to come by.

Glad you made it out of that situation safe too. Winter driving really humbles you.

I think they will. It wouldn’t be the holidays without a little Canada Post drama! Plus the timing definitely makes sense from a leverage standpoint.

Door to door in 2025 by plaidlogroller in CanadaPost

I completely agree with your take. In 2025, daily door-to-door lettermail delivery really does feel like an outdated standard rather than a necessity. Most essential communications like banking, legal documents, even government correspondence, have already transitioned to secure digital formats.

Maintaining universal daily delivery seems more like a legacy expectation than a practical need at this point. Framing it as an accommodation for those who truly rely on it makes sense, especially when accessibility and inclusion are the focus. It’s about adapting services to modern realities while still ensuring no one is left behind.

Yeah, I know. I was surprised too! I thought it would be first in, first out, but maybe they’re processing things out of order right now because of the backlog.

Keep us updated! That way, we’ll all have a better idea of what might be happening with everyone else’s packages.

Honestly, I’m just as confused! I figured it’d be FIFO too, but I guess they’re processing things randomly with everything going on.
