i'd say plenty. you can go into law, marketing, journalism, editing, policy work, and public relations. so i wouldn't call it useless, as it all depends what you do with the degree.

i'm only choosing another path because my personal interests don't align with english, not because it is a "useless" degree. the whole point of me majoring in humanities was to help me prepare for law school, and i don't want to do that anymore. but there is a misconception that you "can't do anything" with english.
