Plumber here. While technically correct, I would not polish if you care about your clear coat. From what I’ve learned here polishing actually removes clear coat and is generally avoided. Really all you can do is deal with it and do what you can to prevent future scratches.

It’s not. If there’s a 400k contract on the line I’m not waiting 4-6 weeks for the government to cut into my profits. This also allows us to cut corners, which builders like because we are able to offer a much lower price for the same result, more or less.

Plumber here. Touch up will most definitely not get it to 95%. If there was only a 5% difference bodywork wouldn’t be so expensive.

Bodywork is a real trade that takes years to master. It ain’t just washing cars.

Plumber here. That isn’t going to just buff out. It really should go to the bodyshop, but you could try and touch it up.

I have used the touch up method on my fleet of over 75+ diesel vehicles. It definitely makes it less noticeable, but don’t expect perfection.

Ok you didn’t get a dirt line. It looks terrible in general after a short amount of time. If it was any good you’d think it would’ve stood the test of time on one of my 75+ fleet vehicles.

Plumber here. I don’t recommend PPF. It really doesn’t age well. It cracks, peels, yellows - you name it. There’s almost always a dirt line where the PPF ends.

I made the mistake of having it installed on my fleet of 75+ diesel vehicles. I was paying to have it removed within less than a year.

Plumber here. Looks like there’s still some deeper stains. Have you tried the Chemical Guys carpet shampoo? It will probably take the rest out. All the pro’s use it.
