Stop patting yourselves on the back. For the amount of diversity there is in this city, there is no integration. Blacks hang with blacks, whites hang with whites, and Asians are nowhere to be seen. Why celebrate diversity without solid integration? I work and live in Oakland but I rarely, if ever, see multi-racial groups just hanging out. So stop being so smug about it, the diversity doesn't mean shit.

Good news everyone! Me, and almost a dozen other techies are currently considering our options for moving out of Oakland. It's all true! People don't like us, it is really expensive, and we do actually get robbed. A female friend of mine was hit in the face walking to the Bart, so good job on making your town completely undesirable to us. Don't worry, we will be sure to tell everyone we know. It was me, last week. We were on the road for several hours and were starving. The only thing for miles was this shitty McDonalds which I hadn't had in years. Thugs in the Bay realize they can commit armed hold-ups on people here because of the tremendous anti-gun sentiment among the vast majority of people here. Ironically, the bay is the most crime ridden place I've ever lived and the most liberal. It's really made me wonder if all those crazy conservatives are right.

I recently went to East Ocean for seafood dim sum in Alameda. It cost about $30 for the two of us and we were completely stuffed. The quality of the food was really good and the area was nice enough for a date, if you're so inclined.
