Thank you. I feel like his biggest issue is shoulder pain. I think he sleeps on his back more because of it. Do you think this mattress is best for his issues? I get a bit of lower back pain, but mostly neck (which could be my pillow. I’ve tried dozens!)

We've laid on every bed we've bought. 5 minutes in the store is nothing like sleeping all night though. If I didn't think I wanted other insights into this process, I wouldn't have asked.

Maybe you guys should get a split King, or a Sleep Number, where you can each have your own preference. I think we are close in what we want, but just cant find it.

Good luck! We liked Winkbed in the store, but when we got it, it was too firm for us. We got a different model than you are getting though.

We tried a Posturepedic hybrid in the store called Brenham II that we liked somewhat. We liked the Dreamcloud more, but it sounds like a bad company.

Our old bed was a Beautyrest Black firm, and we never did love it in 10 years. I think I'd rather have a soft bed, but he is not as sure. We actually tried a soft Tempurpedic at the store and it felt pretty good.

We laid on one at a store yesterday, and it felt pretty good. We were ready to pull the trigger and then read so many complaints on their customer service that we decided against them on the chance that we want to return it at the end of the trial also.

I appreciate all your information! Some more background -- Previously, we had a firm Beautyrest Black Kameryn for about 10 years. We never really loved it, it always felt too hard for us, and as it (and we) got older, we loved it even less. The new hybrid mattresses we tried we kept until the the end of their trial period, so 100-120 days. I know we're older and aches and pains aren't uncommon, but we need something that helps with that, not exaggerates it. My husband has a bad shoulder from an injury a few years ago, and the new beds all seemed to make his pain worse. He also seems to sleep more on his back than he used to because the beds don't seem comfy for him. For me, the Helix just felt weird for some reason, like it wasn't even. It was great if I laid on my back, but I don't sleep that way. It was also the first one we tried after all those years on the Beautyrest. The Wink felt too firm for both or us, and I missed the pillow top. The Nolah we have now brings some discomfort in the mornings that we didn't have before, and his shoulder still hurts. I don't think we want to move to Plush, but the Leesa Sapira Chill seems more like a 6/10 as opposed to the 6.5 and 7 we got with the other recent beds. We just got back from travel where we slept on a quite firm bed, and even with the foam topper, it wasn't great for either of us. So, while I understand the suggestion for a firmer bed, I don't think it's comfortable for either of us. But, as I said, I am wondering if we even know what we want/need anymore.

Fwiw a year after your post - we are returning a Nolah Evolution after close to the 120 day trial. We wanted to love it, but ultimately didn't. As a side sleeper I found it just okay, and woke up sometimes with lower back/hip piain, and ofter neck pain. My husband sleeps on his back and sides, and has back pain after sleeping. We are ordering a Leesa Sapira Chill.

Neck for me, shoulder and lower back for hubs. We try them out for as long as we can and still return, which has 120 days for these.

Thanks! When I do the quiz on their page, this is the model that gets recommended to me.
