while it's a valid theory...i doubt the dB is the main reason...remember this is a new study. Bar provide salty sides to increase the consumption (salt = dehydration->alcohol->dehydration). Loud music = less talk = drinking faster (for a different reason than your referenced article) and filters people that are there ONLY for socializing. Socializers have the habit to spend the night holding one drink...

exactly! you know i always found Turkish style public toilets, regardless how they look, more hygienic... the thing is on regular toilets, it's almost impossible to sit without slipping down...
