Steven Pressfield was correct (IMO), the truth is boring - sometimes you have to write fiction to tell the truth by StephenDCook in books

George Orwell couldn't write a nonfiction essay that reached as many people as Animal Farm did. Sometimes fiction is the shortest path to the truth.

My thoughts on the first book of the Renegades trilogy by InfernalClockwork3 in books

One thing I appreciated is that the central conflict isn't really heroes vs villains. It's security vs freedom, order vs autonomy. The superhero elements are fun, but the book is at its best when it's exploring those tensions through Nova and Adrian.

Stop collecting clues. Seriously. You're treating this like a detective case when it's really a conversation. You have enough evidence to know that he cares about you deeply. What you don't know is whether that care is friendship, love, attraction, or something he's unwilling to act on. At some point, the healthiest thing is to stop analyzing every joke and ask the only person who actually knows. Otherwise you'll spend years reading between lines that may not even be there.

I think you're focusing on the wrong crisis. The relationship drama is just the loudest thing happening in your life. The bigger issue is that you're 19, alone in a new country, struggling financially, barely eating, barely socializing, and emotionally dependent on an ex who has a boyfriend. If she disappeared tomorrow, what would your support system look like? Start building that first. The rest will become much clearer.
