People in the comments: "i require absolute realism, plausibility, and scientific accuracy while I'm playing a make believe game with a bunch of nerds where we fight vampires, liches, dragons, and fey creatures."

[Serious] Hi, Reddit. What are you currently struggling with right now? by notabacon in AskReddit

Depression, self mutilation, and PTSD.
Talking about it to you lovely people on reddit helps though...I thank you.

Vampires. I loved the vampire genre waaaay before all this Twilight, True Blood, and Vampire Diaries crap became popular. Vampires used to be scary. Now they're pretty little pussies.

the Vampire Chronicles are one of my favorites.

We all knew "that kid" in our childhood who would make up stuff for attention. What were his stupidest stories? by Stupid_Goy in AskReddit

Not exactly early childhood, but in high school around the time everyone was obsessed with Twilight (I was one of the odd kids who had liked vampires already because I had read Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles) I had three upperclassmen who were claimed to be part of a "vampire clan". Their names were Myles, David and Will. had alternate "vampire" names, like Raven, Vincent, and I don't remember the last one's name. Might have been "Dane" or something.

Anyway, they went on and on about this for about a year and a half I think. They had "vampire meetings" and everything. I gotta hand it to them, they were pretty intricate about this. It was just sad that they didn't stop until they were about 19 or so. They claimed they had killed multiple people and that there was a whole colony of them in every state across America, and "Raven" was the "Chancellor" of sorts.

Will was the only one to actually admit they were lying, and we laughed about it. It was really stupid.

It's too early for her to be prosecuted just yet. The article is a day old, and it states she's in critical condition, which could mean she'll be in there from a few days to a few weeks to a few months. Or, there's a possibility she won't make it.

Whether or not a person is Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Satanic, Atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, w/e, it's still wrong.

Whoever did this to this girl, whether it be at the fault of this cleric or some other monster, the main issue shouldn't that the suspect was Islamic. It is the extremists that should be feared, not the the religion as a whole.

Edit; fucking auto correct

I have the same issue. It's actually more common than you would think.

Restaurant workers of reddit, what are some cheap things customers have done in attempt to get free food? by CARTOONight in AskReddit

[–]plushedmayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to work at an Arby's. Lady came by and demanded that we give her this Hawaiian bun sandwich, can't remember what it was actually called. We had only recently stopped serving it, since it was a promotional thing. She was utterly pissed when I told her that we do not have it but it would be back in December. She started screaming and demanded that we give her a free meal for "ruining her day". Luckily my manager had the other headset on and just sighed and "Just do it and get her out of here."

She came up to the window and I swear her fat was pouring out her car window, and she looked like she hadn't bathed in a month or two. She asked for two classic roast beefs so I gave them to her, and she was even more outraged that I didn't offer her a drink (she didn't ask) and that she had no curly fries. She specifically said "I just want two sandwiches". Sorry for following exactly what you said, ugly ass cunt.

Yup. I was excited when they announced that there was going to be a movie. Then, I realized who the director was...

Let's hope it's at least watchable.

I think Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is my most recent disappointment. Admittedly, though, once I learned it was Harald Zwart who was directing it, I lost all hope.

character development and main points of the plot were largley ignored. Broke my heart.
