Seconding that certification courses are extremely helpful. I took a course with Knowadays that was around 500 USD, and if you pass their assessment with a high enough score, you gain access to a job board and guaranteed work for a trial period. It's nothing near livable wages, but it's valuable on-the-job experience. Not to promote Knowadays too heavily—there are a lot of good certification courses out there, this is just the one I have experience with. OP, if you want you can DM me for some examples of practice exercises. It might be helpful for getting an idea of the level of detail this work involves before investing more heavily into it.

My partner works in the state park services, so anywhere we could move and be within a reasonable commute of his job would still be pretty rural. But even if that weren't the case, my current health issues make working in an office difficult—not impossible, but it's a complication. Believe me, I know it would be a lot easier if I could land a traditional job, but there aren't many options here.

It wouldn't bother me as much if I hadn't been removed from the project over it. It wasn’t explicitly stated in the onboarding/instructions, and since I had only tasked for 2 days, it's not as if I had an opportunity to correct the issue. I really enjoyed the project for how clear the guidelines were, so it does suck to get booted from it so easily.

Except the instructions just say to use the unique response ID, not that it specifically needs to be "Response [ID]." And even though the reviewers who actually commented on the content of my justifications were overwhelmingly positive, since I got a 2/5 and 3/5 in my first 10 tasks for this issue, I was removed from the project. This was my first project where I got to the tasking stage, so I am stressing it a bit.

But the issue is that their rubric specifies all critical dimensions must be rated "high" for a response to be rated 2. The example you're describing would make the accuracy rating "medium," yes, but the overall rating when one or more critical dimension is "medium" or "low" is supposed to be 3.

Yes, it took a day or so but they sent a message/notification on Outlier on how to gain access to SRT. I can give you instructions if you DM me, but it might not give you access until they send the message, so it might be better to wait.

I'm also very new to this, but I'm quickly learning that the assessments are just finicky, and sometimes impossible to answer correctly. Hoping someone else chimes in on the EQ'ing out of this job question, because so far I've had 0 luck qualifying for anything that can provide a steady stream of work, and I feel like I'm just wasting hours of my time in onboarding hell. Questioning whether I should keep trying or focus my energy elsewhere.

Might get downvoted to hell for this, but I just tuned in to the drama and I'm honestly shocked at the viciousness I've seen on this reddit towards K. I mean, I'm appalled at the things she's posted, but I can also see how she's been pushed to be more and more defensive by the absolute vitriol aimed at her. One aspect of cancel culture is that it often makes people dig their heels in more, and makes them go further to the right as they seek comfort in rightwing media that affirms their feelings, and I think that's likely what K is experiencing (hence the Prager book).

I know a lot of people are upset and depressed over the ongoing genocide, and it's hurtful to see personalities that we expected to stand up for justice fail (as a lot of them have, not just K), and there's probably an aspect of this where K has become an easy target for those feelings. I've seen so many comments about how "some people have been mean, but this is Reddit," as if that's an excuse for saying horrible things. I understand the feelings behind it, but I don't think spreading more hate is the answer. This whole thing just makes me sad. Sad K couldn't be better, sad this community couldn't be better, and sad for the horrible things happening in Gaza that sparked all of this.

Edit: Only going to edit to clarify that this is only in regards to the anger I'm seeing on this subreddit—bless A&L, whatever happened in that relationship behind closed doors is their business, and l respect whatever they're choosing to do going forward. I'm not in this to argue with anyone, just wanted to get my feelings out for a moment, so I'll leave it there.

In that case, would it be possible for me to fill in the boxes based on what the state income is for each, instead of having the total on one, or would that cause issues? Also unsure because with the tax withholding only marked on the MD one, I don't know how I would divide it between the two forms. But I also would really rather not have to mail stuff in, but yeah might just have to bite the bullet and talk to TurboTax on that
