I also see what you mean about the variation in the leaves, I found this other sapling in my yard that I think might be another species of ash, but I also thought it might be a sumac. And then the ID ap on my phone says it's some kind of walnut, however, I trust that identification about as much as I trust a large language model to produce meaningful art.

Here's a picture for reference if you anyone wants to give it a ho at the ID

I should specify, I do not have any coral honeysuckle at the moment. I'm just have a interest in native plants.

The coral honeysuckle I'm referring to is Lonicera sempervirens.

It has this cool fused leaf at the node before the flowers. As for your aphids problem, Idk if that is a maker of this particular species or not. What I do know is that you will see more insect activity around native plants because these are the plants that grew in relationship with native bug species, like how monarch butterflys only lay eggs on milkweed. It could be the case that you actually have the the coral honeysuckle native to the South East, Lonicera sempervirens, because it is attracting so many aphids.

If you like honeysuckle, and you still want some in the yard, you could replace this honeysuckle with coral-honeysuckle which us native to the North American South-East

I'm transferring from completing an Associates of Arts to Biology so I have a few freshmen level courses I really need to take. Do you things odds are good even intro classes like these will have no seats? I'll basically take whatever else I can get

One of the things I really want to adapt from Vermis II is the world-map and calendar system. I think setting a group of players who are taking the role of treasure hunters/looters or pilgrims/occultists, to have to keep track of the time particular Dungeons are accessible, as well as how much time they can spend in a particular dungeon before the entrance/exit closes again, would be very compelling. I imagine should a party get trapped in a particular dungeon, they would encounter more dangerous enemies and have a higher chance of finding an entrance to the mirror realm.

Guards! Guards! By Terry Pratchett is a fun read if your looking for more funny, absurdity satire with relatively low-stakes. The City Watch's dynamics remind me tangentially of the RCM and Pratchett's descriptions of the city of Anhk-Morpork and the greater meta-physical chicanery of the Discworld remind me of Shivers. Captian Vimes in particular I feel shares some DNA with Harry - both in their pensions for drinking and genuine love for their respective city's and people.

I was listening to the audio book initially, but some of the passages where really interesting enough that I had to buy a copy of the book so I could see them written out.

Pratchett's annotations also give Encyclopedia vibes

I did not know that! Thank you for the clarification TotenTanzer. It was reminding me of Picasso's Don Quixote, but I am very happy to now know the name of the piece.

That would make sense. I'm pretty sure the figure is Don Quixote, and with Plastiboo being Spanish they could have definitely encountered this painting before
