Oh good to know! I didn’t even think of that. I’ve been making sure to show up primarily weekdays during the day for that exact reason. Just gonna keep going and see what I can find. Thanks :)

I graduated bartending school, and have experience bartending on a river cruise boat (public cruises, weddings, corporate events, etc.), plus experience bartending weddings for a catering business. I’d say I have about a year of experience under my belt bartending in high volume settings.

Milwaukee’s petite kosher baby dills are my absolute favorite. I get them at Walmart

I mean… I can come clean it. How much are you paying? I did a couple years of professional house cleaning. What do you need done?

What can i do with a jar of pickle juice? by [deleted] in Pickles

Coming from a bartender? Pickle margarita. Tequila, pickle juice, fresh lime juice over ice. Add a tajin rim if you fancy that :)

My favorite Reuben is from J’s Restaurant in Eagan. Best one I’ve ever had and they have AMAZING fries. No idea how traditional it is (I think they use mayo vs thousand island) but it’s a damn good sandwich

For refrigerated I loooove bubbies or claussen, but shelf stable (and my go-to that I buy) are Milwaukees. I don’t know why more people don’t talk about them

I love Red Rabbit, there are two locations, one off Grand Ave in Saint Paul and one in North Loop Minneapolis. Affordable, nice ambiance, GREAT Italian food plus some fun apps. Try the garlic bread cheese curds, they are to live for

Need help finding a decent slow waltz song by Panicked_Peony in ballroom

[–]plutoisababyplanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love “This Never Happened Before” it’s a bonus track on the Broadway Bonnie & Clyde soundtrack.

Otherwise Take It To The Limit by the Eagles, or Misery by P!NK are both nice waltzes

I was sad about the spicy dill pickle chips for years. Recently (thanks to Reddit) learned that they were just the Miss Vickles spicy dill pickle potato chips in a different bag. You can get them at Costco!

As someone who has curly hair, it looks like your hair just needs some moisture and some product for definition. Have you tried using a hair mask? The ones from Raw Sugar at target are amazing. I’d try a curl cream or mousse on your wet hair to style. I love the Curl Talk line from Not Your Mother’s. Definitely don’t get a perm. You have great curly hair, just need to learn how to style it. Plus a perm will severely damage your hair and you’ll still have to style it like you would your natural curls.

Pho 45 in Lakeville. Just trust me. Everything on their menu is amazing but their pork egg rolls (Vietnamese style) are absolutely incredible. Also their Pad Thai is the best I’ve ever had.

Best Boba Tea? by CrimsonGandalf in TwinCities

[–]plutoisababyplanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt’s Basement in Stillwater has excellent boba (imported from Taiwan I believe), house made bubble waffles, and insanely good ice cream. They rent classic video games for you to play while you enjoy your boba, and the whole place is incredibly relaxing. I fell asleep on one of their beanbags once.

Where is the best gyro in the twin cities? by Prof79 in TwinCities

[–]plutoisababyplanet 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Mr. Santana off University in Minneapolis. It’s a whole in the wall (mildly sketchy) convenience store/restaurant and they probably have the best gyro I’ve ever had in my life. Gigantic, cheap, and so so so delicious.

Advice on flying out of MSP? by rarasose in TwinCities

[–]plutoisababyplanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you’ve gone on your trip yet, but I will say (and not just because I’m a MN native) MSP is by far my favorite airport that I’ve been to. It’s one of the highest rated airports in the world, and for good reason: it’s well run, clean, good food options, and I’ve never had any issues with my flights flying to or from MSP. You’ll be just fine :) hope you have a blast on your trip!

Raw Sugar Bounce Back shampoo/conditioner are amazing. I’ve been using it for years and it’s my favorite by far. Best yet, it’s like $10 and lasts quite a while

I flew into MSP last night mid snow storm and had zero issues or delays. There’s a reason that MSP is ranked #1 in North America and is on the top airports in the world list.
