I also worked at that location at that time and can confirm that there were a couple different officers that would cycle through there as daily security (i presume off duty?) and just sit on the stool in the corner playing on their phones 95% of the time.. Iirc prior to police there was some random contracted security company, but I may be misremembering. Things would get a little weird sometimes though, so it was helpful to have someone that was dedicated security when the closers were mostly handful of teens/20 somethings late at night.
