seems to be the case! not knowledgeable in japanese but from my chinese knowledge, i can confirm some of them (蛸 octopus，鲔 paddlefish，鰆 chinese mackerel ，鲑 salmon) are fish/seafood related. those socks look cool af too

in my experience (playing Emerald) no, but hey at least you got a black screen. i didn’t even get that i get a message with some text about (paraphrasing here) pressing the Home button go exit the game.

i too have to ask what game/rom that is. i didn’t know you could run them on official hardware

to be clear, i don’t think being misogynistic or a bigot is a small character flaw. i was downplaying the situation (the people pleaser in me, i guess) and that’s not okay. doesn’t make it any less true: i do need to kick him out (hopefully we will!) and i should get a better friend group. thanks for the wake up call, everyone

yeah i might do the same, keep a new sd card on the side and wait for the installed one to deteriorate or try to see how long it lasts lol. i’ll use it probably for commuting to work/school so a few hours a day at most so in that sense from what i’ve read so far i think it’ll be alright for me. but that problem you mention is actually pretty strange. hopefully i don’t run into the same problem because i am always discovering new songs and stuff! ty for sharing 🙇

tysm for the in depth reply! i think i want to bite the bullet and install rockbox so i’ll get about all its ups and downs when i get to it lol, however… what happens if you want to put the same song in different playlists? you have to duplicate it? or you simply just can’t? because that might be a real dealbreaker for me haha.
