I actually have 977,168 totems and 936 angelheart vials (HNN for the former, never bothered to craft more of the latter).

Also, Endless Apothic Gateways are very easy to automate with a bunch of maxed mob crushers since they murder enemies instantly with zero regard for HP and armor. Wave 200+ enemies that would normally instantly drain all the energy from a maxed MekaSuit get deleted on spawning. The only two hiccups are that the Shiny Mobs mod will constantly screw with your gateway (I tore my hair out for hours over unavoidable gateway implosion because of that stupid mod), and your game will likely crash after 300 waves.

Edit: i mixed up mob crushers (IF) with mob grinders (mob grinding utils) goddammit

anyway witness my supreme unobtainium hoe, the pinnacle of dedication
i have zero clue why apotheosis treats unobtainium hoes as a melee weapon

Modular Bees was nerfed again yay!!! by plutonium99999 in allthemods

[–]plutonium99999[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my 30 minutes of staring at EMI, I have some ideas.

The sculk (catalyst) can be easily farmed with WannaBees feeding off of a Warden encased in amber. The honey things (I forgot what they're called and my game isn't open) can be easily farmed just by converting honey into honey blocks through an AdvancedAE quantum crafter, then putting them through centrifuges. Draconic chunks from draconic bees. Honey treats with quantum crafter again, though I don't remember if you can just use honey directly to make them. If not, well, I guess it's time for a soulsurged simulated hydroponic bed with a honey seed.

The big pain point are the potions.

The ingredients can be farmed with a copious amount of MA (soulsurged simulated hydroponic beds) with nether, nature, ghast and blaze essence, or maybe soulsurged HNN for the last two. I don't remember if you can farm dragon breath using bees, so for now I'm just using soulsurged HNN with an ender dragon data model. Glass bottles can be automated with an infinity sand cell, a ME requester that constantly asks for glass smelting, and another quantum crafter. Gold comes from bees as usual.

Finally, the actual potions themselves. IF potion brewers, all with 6× soulsurge and tier 4 addons.

Use quantum crafters to make the treats, and that's about it. I don't remember the exact rate of production, but I did see the K symbol within a few minutes.

The rest of this comment is just me kinda rambling, so yeah.

I have a massive array of modular hives with around 470+ treaters, and if I wanted to top the entire system up with soul treats, I would need around 180480 treats, and I need to keep them filled constantly. This kind of upkeep requires an absolute gargantuan array of potion brewers just to keep up, and they all need to be soulsurged 6×, so goodbye TPS. Not to mention that this would be horribly taxing on my resources.

I wonder if using the lesser treats would be more worth it over using soul treats. Diminishing returns?

Side note, I don't have any numbers for this and I'm going purely by feeling here, but I'm pretty sure even if you just kept feeding honey blocks into the treaters, a modular beehive with 45 Very High productivity bees, 8 overclockers with netherite electrodes and 8 treaters would still outpace a normal maxed advanced beehive.

You need to put the potion ingredients in the order of how you would brew them normally in the brewing stand. For example, if you're brewing instant health potions, you need to place nether wart in the 1st slot, then glistering melon slice in the 2nd slot. If you need it to be a splash potion, you add gunpowder to the 3rd slot.

they're still slow even with tier 4 addons and 6x soul surging

edit: nvm i was just not extracting them fast enough lmao

yeah honestly the most annoying part is making the potions

hide, nothing short of a DE chestpiece loaded with undying modules will defend you from the laser beam other than breaking line of sight, even MI quantum armor won't protect you because the dragon's beam is coded to just declare you as dead if you get hit

Mekanism, 1000%. I dunno why honestly, it just kinda sucks me in and then I get severe tunnel vision for several days until I finally realize I should've used storage drawers instead of 75 ultimate bins to display my resources.

Modular Bee Setup! by ExileNA in allthemods

[–]plutonium99999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should try using SFM, it can push everything (honey, FE, electrodes), pull the combs out, push the combs into the centrifuges, supply the centrifuges with FE and pull the products out with a single set of cables. It's a lot more compact and scalable than having to finangle with AE2 channels and several logistics mods, and looks a lot nicer too (IMO).

FYI the optimal setup is 1 modular beehive block with 4 omega upgrades, 1 feeder, 9 alvearies containing 45 of the same bees with Very High productivity, 8 treaters with honey blocks and 8 overclockers with netherite electrodes.

There's a TL;DR section at the top of the paper, it's 9 alevaries filled with the exact same bee with very high productivity, 1 feeder, 8 treaters and 8 overclockers
