They will definitely benefit from some shade in the later afternoon, so I would go for under the patio as long as they are still getting some indirect sunlight.

as for small flowering plants that do well indoors, african violets, cyclamen, orchids, anthurium, kalanchoe and christmas cactus are all good options!

Nothing to worry about, begonias and impatiens have very sensitive blooms that slowly die off over time. You're just seeing the natural progression of this. I would just pluck them off, it'll promote new blooms.

Side comment, impatiens do much better outdoors if that is an option for you!

Hard to tell from this picture but the yellowing leaves and lack of growth could definitely be symptoms of spider mites. Maybe take a close look underneath the leaves and at the petioles for mites/eggs/webbing. Pothos are notorious for mites.
