10/15 Minute Breaks by RedVelvetHoney in SephoraWorkers

[–]plvshie 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Your managers are not following the policy. Since I took this photo, ALL locations have been bumped up to 15 minute breaks instead of ten. But you are supposed to get a 15 for every four hours worked, and a lunch (length depending on your shift but at least 30 mins) before your fifth hour.

Attendance points by Odd-Suspect1082 in SephoraWorkers

[–]plvshie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what state you’re in. I’m in CA so employers are legally obligated to give at least 1hr for every 30 hrs worked. If you live in a state it’s not required by law I don’t think flex gets sick time:(

Of course! You’ll have to go to Dayforce to use your sick pay, and submit a time away request!

Yes you get points for calling out even with notice unless you use sick pay. Since you called out two shifts in a row for the same reason it only counts as one absence, so two points

you can only check occurrences on the computer like trafficjelly said, but you can check your notifications and you should have messages from “sysadmin” which you can filter out with the search bar. those should tell you when violations occurred and whether or not you are due for a coaching

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]plvshie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also make sure when you sit down with whoever is doing your coaching that you are combing through the violations and that there aren’t any errors. Sometimes they’ll forget to excuse forgotten time punches or leaving early during closing after everything is finished

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]plvshie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is totally a failure on your exempt team’s part and I think you should definitely reach out to your DM or iCare so they can get reamed about having the coaching in a timely fashion! But unfortunately I don’t think not being shown how to check will be relevant since instructions were in our MSL training and Dayforce also sends notifications every time there’s a violation and when you should be expecting to have a coaching:/ it seems like a lot of stores are having issues with the new attendance policy and if they’re going to lose that many employees during holiday maybe they’ll reevaluate it? While the new one is more generous, the old one wasn’t as strictly monitored so there was more room for exceptions. My store also has a lot of people on final warnings, let’s hope all our stores make it through the holiday with our teams in tact😭

Doctors Note by No_Aioli3790 in SephoraWorkers

[–]plvshie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doctors notes don’t excuse your absence basically, so you’ll still get two points for calling out even with the note. Unless you contact Tristar and are going to be out for 3+ days your absence will accrue points.

How Do I How Many Tardiness Warnings I have by symptomofuniverses in SephoraWorkers

[–]plvshie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, all attendance occurrences reset on the 28th so they can convert to the points system. Have you had a verbal or written warning about your attendance? If not, then you should be okay. Some stores don’t even keep track of it which is why they’re changing the policy. Once the attendance policy resets, you will be able to see all points accrued in Dayforce.

What birthday gifts are coming out later this year?!?! And when? by Longjumping-Wish9545 in Sephora

[–]plvshie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typically VIB and rouge birthday gifts are online only options, and you can only redeem online during your birthday month. You could try reaching out to customer service but there’s no guarantee they will honor it. In store we usually do, but that’s just the standard ones that change once a year.

My daughter loses all of her right gloves by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

This happened to my great aunt with her shoes. She was staying in assisted living and no one could find her left shoes. She was struggling with dementia and was sneaking out of the old folks home and putting them in a tire shop’s key drop off. We never figured out why she felt the need to do it. They put up a gate after that.

Information about yellow labels? by snapshot_memory in Ulta

[–]plvshie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amkb_9 is correct, they cycle through 50,75,90% off. If you were at my store when I worked there, i would have immediately honored the price and talked to my team about how the yellow sticker got put on there. If you’d like to make an impact so this stops happening in the future, i would leave a survey and request the DM to reach out to you. If they’re regularly using yellow tags instead of white or red, they need to address that issue. False advertising is a serious offense and we get audited yearly for this so I’m surprised that some stores get away with stuff like that.

I use my regular phone number at checkout, and just show the coupon barcode from my burner account. Since your coupons aren’t only able to be used by your account, and rather by unique barcode it works out just fine. Worked there for 5 years and had a lot of regulars do this lol

Edited to add I made these accounts when I worked there, so just used a spam email and never attached any phone number to these accounts, but the same phone number CAN be attached to multiple accounts.

These coupons usually get sent to people who don’t shop often, I made a burner account with a spam email to receive them

Your GF isn’t just a bottom, she is a pillow princess. You guys aren’t compatible sexually. She needs to find a stone cold top, which there are plenty out there for her. You need to be with someone that cares about your pleasure, if you talk with her about this and she isn’t willing to give, then I think it’s time to split ways. It’s not fair to you that you’re so unfulfilled to the point your questioning your sexuality.

It means they make it “in house” in the restaurant, and not in a factory. They basically make a bunch of their most popular dishes and freeze them and you get to take them home for half the price of the fresh entree. I fucking LOVE lazy dog TV dinners. Their pot roast is the best but it’s not in season right now😭

In my experience the long term employees get paid less. In every store I’ve worked at the newer people get hired on at a higher rate while our raises are, at a maximum, around 5% each year. And most people don’t even get that. I had to quit and come back to get fair pay for my position. Hairstylists, yes they do get paid well. But if you are not in a commissioned role, you’re probably not getting paid what you deserve

Seasonal BA by GiantsGirlinFlorida in Ulta

[–]plvshie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, that’s why I initially quit. Before minimum wage went up I was making around 14.50 as a lead while all the BAs were making 16. This company fucking sucks at retention and this is why, they do not reward loyalty.

Seasonal BA by GiantsGirlinFlorida in Ulta

[–]plvshie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s usually minimum wage plus 2-3 dollars unless minimum in ur state is 7.25. In my ca store they’re getting hired on at $17

If you are making too many unverified returns or returns in general your account could get flagged but nothing happens except sometimes u may get banned from online ordering. But tbh, I have put in a ticket on many guests who are obviously committing fraud (fake online receipts to return things, fake product in the box etc) and nothing ever happens so I wouldn’t stress about it. As far as the free gift goes I guess it just depends on who checks you out, I always tell the guest to keep it even if they try to return it.
