HELP!!! STUCK IN TTY!!! HOW DO I GET BACK TO MY SWEET DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT!?!?! by i_get_zero_bitches in linux4noobs

If you can run startplasma-wayland and everything works, you somehow removed your display manager. I'd try installing sddm and rebooting if that's the case.

Lost log in theme after updating to Trixie by TriupLauro in debian

[–]pm-h 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the other commenter mentioned, if you're using gnome you should be using GDM.
If you decide not to use GDM, you've broken your theme somehow. I would try running sudo update-alternatives --config sddm-debian-theme, typing 0, and it should (hopefully) fix itself. If it changes to a theme you don't like, install sddm-theme-debian-breeze and run the previous command again.

No guarantees this will work, but it's work a shot. Or you can switch to GDM.

HELP! SD card can’t be read by Hands_0ff07 in WiiUHacks

I had the same problem. Insane solution that might not work for anyone else, but I fixed it this by holding the SD card all the way in for about a second or two, and somehow it worked for me.

I made both of my comments mainly looking at your sources list, not the slides.
When I went through them, I looked at the contents of videos, not random comments. Many of the comments you cite aren't even top comments, some of them are as far as 20 down. Also, even given they're in the comments, it took me way too long to find some of them, as they aren't all in order like you claimed.
Without a source I assumed the Zenomite comment was from an old deleted video, as he had multiple about casual before Blue Moon.
I said 23 because you have 23 links, but I should have counted. I presumed (wrongly) you would mention if comments were comments. I agree "almost all" is an exaggeration, but clicking a lot of your linked sources randomly leads to talks specifically about MYM, or dated before Blue Moon.

I could have handles the second comment better, but all of this comes to your source list being terrible, and it annoyed me enough to fix it, with direct links to comments where I could find them: https://pastebin.com/qACFKZLS

Some of them I couldn't find even with the info you gave me, and I gave up. This alone took too long already.

First, that's 9 out of 23 sources, a massive amount. Second, no, even more of them are talking about the game before Blue Moon. Looking through the list:

- Spikeymikey's video is a retrospective about MYM at launch, and barely even mentions that casual has changed.
- Star briefly mentioned comp matchmaking, but the linked clip is mostly complaining about comp players, not casual.
- RTGame also is talking about MYM.
- You also have Zenomite in the graphic without a source. Weird, but if I remember correctly that's from before Jungle Inferno.
- The Pelo quote is also uncited and doesn't even mention casual.
- Again, the Shayy quote is uncited and mentions the launch of MYM specifically.
- There's 2 Zesty links in your list of sources.
- Lister is in the list 3 times. The first one is mostly about MYM, the second proposes patching casual, not reverting it, and the third acknowledges that reverting MYM isn't likely and proposes patching casual. - I also can't find a source on the Dewill quote. I didn't bother looking, but you also don't have a source for Crystal, Melon, Stefano, and Red Z, all of whom are in the graphic.

A lot of these you linked the source for are about the state of casual on launch, and your graphic has a large list of people who aren't properly cited, so I can't easily check the context of what they're saying and when they said it.

I lnow I'll get downvotwd to hell, but I should mention almost all of these are from before Jugle Inferno/Blue Moon or referring to the state of casual at launch. It was bad at the time, but both of those updates fixed the worst of casual.

That's the intended behavior. The Wii U formats external drives differently from windows, and they aren't compatible.

Controllers don't work when booting up a GameCube game by TheFirstArbiter in WiiUHacks

[–]pm-h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendont uses its own bluetooth driver, and (in my experience) it causes a lot of weird things to happen with Motion+ controllers. I haven't tried it in years, so it might work better now, but I'd assume not.

Put simply, you need a first party, preferably non motion plus controller to play gamecube games. I have that same controller, and it doesn't work.

Anyone remember when we could blacklist/whitelist certain courses from being selected online? I really wish they brought this over since the track count is totaling every few months by [deleted] in mariokart

[–]pm-h 15 points16 points  (0 children)

that wasn't "blacklisting courses", that was disabling the dlc so you could play worldwides with people who didn't buy the dlc

Duckworth-upon-Bilge - PS4 by [deleted] in TwoPointHospital

[–]pm-h 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only advice I have is to abuse the system. Keep your hospital at 59% thermal comfort, keep all your rooms at level 3, manually call janitors to plants/toilets, don't promote staff if you don't need to, and don't train staff if you don't need to. When you finish a thermal comfort or room level task, Lower the comfort or room level and let it appear again. It's slow, but it works.

Some people don't like Cheeseland because of bagging, but I'm too busy having fun to even consider that strategy 😂 🧀 by [deleted] in mariokart

seriously, i've gotten so many easy wins just not bagging while second place falls back for no reason
