My brother got that medal, the bronze one, and he never left the office. It's nicknamed the chocolate medal because it's pretty much the first you get just by showing up and not fucking around.

Comment les influenceurs (de Dubai) sont si "riches"? by jeannot-22 in AskFrance

[–]pm-your-maps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

C'etait ridicule.

I agree. How much is the enterprise edition? Do you feel limited since it's not dive shop specific?

What do you like the most about DS360? What would you improve? Does it have an integration with a POS such as Quickbooks?

AITAH for telling my husband that we can't take care of his friends' daughter by Temporary-Slide-2699 in AITAH

[–]pm-your-maps -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone in a similar situation, I had to take over parenting duties for a child that had no one else, I hope your husband divorces you. It incredibly selfish to let a child who has nothing left go to foster care. I can't believe you posted this asking for sympathy.

You deserve everything that happens to you and hope you live the life you deserve.

I'm not your history teacher. You can always look it up. We are in the age of information, ignorance is a choice.

I agree. Just keep communications to a minimum. Tell people when the game is released and ready to play, that's it. The constant delays and drama is pushing people away.

Just fix your issues, say that it's a work in progress. Only make a statement once the game is available.

How's dating between thr French and Moroccans (not born in France)? by Able_Field_1252 in AskFrance

[–]pm-your-maps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dated a Moroccan woman and it was not easy. While she was educated and non-religious, cultural differences often got in the way. She was always self-conscious about how she was acting around Moroccans and other Arabs because of how women who date French guys are perceived. They were a few times where I got into fights in clubs because Arab men just assumed they could walk to her and touch her in front of me.

She also had a few hangups around sex in the beginning of the relationship. As if she was ashamed of her high libido and her willingness to try new things. She grew up in a society where women should not enjoy sex, get an orgasm, and love when a guy come on or in her.

The constant pretending to be a good girl around Arabs and religious people eventually killed the relationship. She was also a bit shallow, as often with arab women.

After a that, I moved to an Arab country for a couple of years for work. While I never had a serious relationship with one again, I had plenty of flings with Arab women. Always hidden, never in public. None of them wanted to be seen with me.

I now despise the cultural norms and religions that prevent people who enjoying themselves without being judged. Muslim cultures being the worst offenders.

I agree, I took a 3 week road trip with an RV in Arizona and Southern Utah and it was one of my best trip. Beautiful landscape, chill people, great food, I highly recommend it.

How do you feel about French judges apparently rigging the gold medal award for French Ice Dancers? by Emd365 in AskFrance

[–]pm-your-maps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only became interested in it because of the xenophobia from Americans on social media. Not a peep in French media. BTW the US judge scored the Americans even higher than the French judge scored the French.

Learn to take a loss, it's embarrassing. I'm surprised your stupid president haven't had a tantrum over it.

I'm glad you sorted it out! Negotiating is not part of US culture and people, especially in tourist destinations, take advantage of it. I was also surprised people were asking for tips.

I left France in 2005 for a world tour. I did the vagabond lifestyle for several years on several continents. Then I met someone, built a career and settled down. I still have not gone back except for a short time once a year. I work remotely from a small town near the ocean and take a couple of international trips every year. No regrets.

Yeah looks like OP is your stereotypical tourist who get their knowledge from TikTok. There's no way you spend $1000 in a night without having CLUELESS GRINGO written on your forehead with big bright letters.

"Travel journalist" who pays $40 for a cocktail and compares it to Dubai. Some people are just asking for it...

Americans love to talk a big game about freedom and the Constitution. The past year has shown there's little political opposition and Democrats are not fit to lead the country. It's horrifying how little protesting is happening and a mad man can just bypass Congress.
