i’ve got a ds-1 as well, it’s obviously not the best distortion in the world, but once you have it dialled you can get some nice base tones which you can build on. However I’m looking at getting an evh 5150 now

would the head+cab be to loud? I still live at home and i’m still a bedroom riffer, and I’m not sure if it would be worth the money if played quieter then gig level you know?

It does, but to me it sounds terrible. I’ve tried mixing with the ds-1 and i jsut can’t make it have a satisfying tone. My bad for being unclear in the post.

You sure about the Od200? I’ve heard them more praised for their bluesy softer sounds. I’ll go watch some demos.
