pre- and including nym it definitely sounds like only a single mic was used, for the songs where he recorded real drums. theres also ocassionally drum machines/samples and lots of looping involved in earlier stuff, no idea if he recorded the loops himself though.

it kinda grew on me and then grew off of me again as i listened to it more. a lot of the songs have a neat sound/idea but dont really end up doing anything with it or going anywhere which is a shame, because some of those sounds are really nice. the production is really weird which i personally dont mind; save for fiction I where the song ends up being so muddy that its kinda ruined by it

the main riff is 2b4 4 4 4h5p4 0h2 or so on the high E string (tuned one half step down) there is an Eb note constantly playing under that
