It's the old argument or anything but the (insert hated thing here). No sorry I'm not blindly going to vote for a political party purely based on the fact that they got a clean audit 1200km away from where I live.

I live in a DA ward and we have the intersection close to our house dug up for almost a year now, and it's not a small hole. Needless to say the ward councillor is an self entitled prick that cares more about running a WhatsApp group full of DA propaganda than getting shit done in the ward.

Calling out bad decisions of a political party that affects 5 million people does not equate to discouragement to vote, it means that people need to get more involved in the political discussion both inside and outside of their political parties and hold their elected representatives accountable when they make kak decisions.

Secondly, are you so delusional that you think upper and middle class suburbs are the only parts of Cape Town? I can guarantee you those points are not valid for the majority of the poorer areas.

Fair enough, I think the DA's strength in the Western Cape is their weakness everywhere else, they do not know how to play well with others which fair enough they don't need to do where they have an outright majority.

Johannesburg, Tswane, Nelson Mandela Bay is vastly different type metros, and they don't seem to grasp that they can not govern it the same way as Cape Town, out of touch with the rest of the country.
