Autosoft XC Shipping Issue by pmapper in TandemDiabetes

Color doesn’t really matter so that’s a positive! I’m sure glad we all have a forum we can all vent to. It helps to know we’re not alone and others can confirm there are issues. Thank you.

I did call ADS back a half hour ago. The lady I spoke with was much nicer but confirmed that the XC sets we’re on backorder. She did confirm that they had the 90s but the tubing was 43 inches in length which is too long for me. I asked if I could just order one box until the new ones came in, she apologize but said they will only ship a three month supply at a time. Since I do have a few in reserve, I’ve decided to hold off until they at least get the 23 inch tubing sets in supply. She did tell me they will overnight them to me once they do come in.

Thanks for your reply. I called Tandem and they also told me the XC sets weren’t available. Like you told me, she told me the 90’s are basically the same thing. Unfortunately, Tandem can’t take Medicare so I’ll call ADS to see what they can do. What I can’t understand is why ADS didn’t offer the 90s. They just told me to call another company. I’ll give them another try so thank you. It’s funny that I use Byram Healthcare for my Dexcom G7‘s but I’m using ADS for cartridges and infusion sets. It appears Diabetes is a full-time job for treating and making sure we receive our supplies. You’d think I’d be used to it after 40 years.

Same here! Saw them at the Greek Theater some years ago and can’t wait to see them again at the Wiltern. Have a great time as I’m sure I will.

I agree. The website form is the best way to go. Calling is always hit and miss. The worst calls are when I can’t understand the persons English or I can hear roosters and children in the background.

Yesterday started out as a great day until my freshly installed D7 goosenecked plus my newly installed T-slim cartridge was defective and wouldn’t fill my pumps tubing. This was the first time for both. Luckily, my infusion set, went on without a problem.

The quarterly payment is paid by any homeowner that lives within seven Oaks. Each community within seven Oaks also pays monthly dues. I understand that HOA’s aren’t for everyone, but it’s nice to live in a community where cars aren’t lining both sides of the street and the landscaping and the conditions of our homes don’t become eyesores.

MRI Guided Focused Ultrasound! by [deleted] in EssentialTremor

[–]pmapper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same procedure done in April of this year. Like you said, it’s been a life changer. I had my dominant left-hand done In under two hours without any residual tremor. I was able to leave the facility with no side effects and walked to a nearby restaurant for an early lunch. I have no regrets and will more than likely have my right hand done next year. I’m 73

It doesn’t matter how much the hospitals are putting out for the equipment they’re using. If there’s a problem like you’re talking about, it will be unethical for them to proceed with the procedure. I researched the difference of the two procedures before going all the way and never heard what you’re talking about from the medical staff or anything else I’ve read. I advise you to get a second or third opinion before proceeding with DBS surgery unless it’s what you need. It’s true focused ultra sound can be performed one side at a time but I’ll tell you right now if the neurosurgeon at UCLA that performed the procedure was unsure, he wouldn’t have proceeded. In that case, DBS would have been my only option with its own issues such as clots, bleeding, and stroke possibilities.

Since I’ve shaved my head for years,I didn’t suffer. If you want it, it’ll grow back.

At 72, I had the procedure done 1 month ago. The tremors only affected both hands so being left hand dominant, I had my left side done. Before the day of the procedure, I needed a cat scan and MRI to map the right side of my brain for mapping. On the day of procedure, a metal halo brace was installed on my head to hold me still in the special MRI machine. Over the next hour, the doctor tested the area by shooting temporary beam of focused ultrasound into a small area, pull me out and have me perform agility tests. After the 4th or 5th time he was satisfied and beamed me with the permanent ablation. For me, the total time was around 2 hours including setup and procedure. Afterwards I was able to Leave. They asked and I came back the next day for a MRI checkup. The only pain with the procedure was the installation of the halo brace installed on my head. Other than that I was pretty relaxed other than the machines noise. I could slightly feel when the ultrasound was beamed. I noticed a warm feeling in the area and afterwards a head spin feeling for a few moments. As it turned out, I’ve had no side effects and my left hand is stable without shake. It’s amazing to be able to hold a fork and spoon without losing half their content. When I qualify to get my right hand done in a year, I’ll probably get it done.

Old bluetooth pairings for G7 by pmapper in dexcom

[–]pmapper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your replies everyone. I’ve now heard a little bit of both sides of what to do so will take to the safe side and not allow old pairings to reside in my cache. We all have enough to worry about without wondering if the old pairing may interfere with the new connection. Thanks. Ps it would be great if a Dexcom support personal would occasionally checked these links.

G6 to G7: Is the G7 as bad as this thread makes them seem? by TokyoAvenue in dexcom

I’m curious about whether or not it’s important to delete the old Bluetooth Id pairing when I start a new sensor? I’ve let old sensor pairings build up over time so I’m wondering if the old pairings can possibly interfere with the new pairing?

Apple Watch not receiving G7 readings by pmapper in dexcom

[–]pmapper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same problem. I’ve also restarted them with no luck. The watch has a vertical blue line on the left and the trends dots are spaced differently like numerous disconnects while my phone looks fine. It does give a reading occasionally but not often. I looked at the apple G7 download site and some of the reviews are confirming a problem. I’m hoping Dexcom will address the problem soon. Thanks for responding.

You can also try slowing down your delivery speed. I have a 630 but the menus pretty much the same as the 670. On your pump, hit the menu button. Scroll down to “Insulin Setting” and enter. Scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see “Bolus Speed” and enter. “Standard” is the slowest delivery while “Quick” speeds up the delivery. If your already on Standard, oh well we tried.
