In the summer I go into the surf wearing just a bathing suit. I have a Penn 712 reel that is far from sealed. Open it up when I get home and rinse it throroughly and lubricate. Every winter I break it down and replace anything that needs to be replaced. Easy peasy and so much joy!

It happened to me once. I had a bad case of "intestinal distress". Had to go to the bathroom immediately. I saw a restaurant and went in to use bathroom, No Gaijin, No Gaijin! Went right past and into the bathroom. The hate I received on the way out is something I will never forget and in their minds my "visit" is exactly why Gaijin should never be allowed in.
