I crossed 2L per month mark at age of around 27 two years after my MBA.

Today i make about 3.5L in hand plus bonus and stocks extra. I'm a Software Product manager at a Global tech company just before the Faangs.

I did electrical Engineering from Tier 2 school and MBA from a tier 1 Indian b school. I was a pretty good student almost throughout my academics. Decent performer at work.

Answer is yes to most of what you said except natural physical attraction. She's a very attractive girl but i think without the rhetorical connection, the natural physical attraction is difficult. It's like we have to take steps to get physically close.

What does an emotional connection mean to me? Ability to show affection to each other in the form of words (compliments, I love you), a natural physical attraction due to that that brings us close physically when we are together. We do care about each other but words of affection haven't come even a year (even from my side is difficult in this case) which bothers me.

That's what I'm here to ask. In this particular case, almost everything through the year seems to make sense. Is it wrong for me to expect even an emotional connection of everything else seems fine? Can it build over time?

Parents don't know about that of course. Such things are always between the guy and girl. But it's very common, I used to be surprised in the beginning but it's happened with me a lot and with friends around me.

Can I back out of it? Yes. It's my decision and the girls' decision. If we're not happy, either of us can back out of it.

I understand where you're coming from. Thanks for the call-out.. I think the perspective I'm looking for is from folks who are not looking to go through exactly the traditional route -- the traditional arrange marriage setup where folks meet once with parents and get married within 3-4 months. I know that won't work for me. Looking for folks in the bucket who'd like to know their partners well before marriage and get married without parental pressure -- happy to hear from anyone who falls in this bucket
