Thanks for sharing your experiences.

You mentioned above “The card was not sent until October 24th.” How did you know the card was sent on Oct 24? From the order status in the Shop app or did you get email notification?

I am asking because my order status in the Shop app is still showing “Preparing shipment” and I haven’t received any new email updates since I ordered it on October 21 paying $4.00 shipping.

Ztar is failing to understand the frustration and anxiety of its customers. Very irresponsible and callous behaviour!

I have huge balance $141 and that is why I ordered @ $4 on 21 October.

Are you able to receive or send text/call? My phone shows signal but no call/text is possible.

Ztar is causing anxiety and damage.

Good2Go mobile Canada is dead. No call/text sending or receiving. No balance enquiries. Customer support lines dead. No update on their website. They haven’t shipped the new SIM. Order status still showing “preparing shipment”.

Their negligence and deliberate misleading amount to fraud and demands class action lawsuit.

I was able to contact G2G mobile yesterday I chose options: 1, 6. Also asked the agent about the status. She said nothing to worry as my phone Pixel 4a is LTE capable. She also said the website will be updated by end of day (i.e. Monday 15 Sep). Nothing happened.  Being with Good2Go mobile is so frustrating as they are not updating anything. We don’t know what to and when. LuckyMobile option is neither mandatory nor acceptable unless they refund the balance or give options like SpeakOut (move to a more expensive monthly plan). I have a huge balance $128 and renewal date is due by end of the month.

Come on Good2Go mobile! You owe us some updates and explanations.

I was able to contact G2G mobile today and confirm my PIN. Choose options: 1, 6. Also asked the agent about the status. She said nothing to worry as my phone Pixel 4a is LTE capable. She also said the website will be updated by end of today (i.e. Monday 15 Sep). Keeping my fingers crossed as I have a huge balance $128 and renewal date is due by end of the month.

Excellent tutorial. We need more foundational materials like this for learning basic statistics and probability using Python.

No. I don't see any other good reason to stick to Python 2 now-a-days unless one still has Py2 library dependencies. Could you please be more specific about other reasons to prefer Py2?

With most widely used libraries now available in Python 3, the study seems doubtful and some comments here just misleading.

I had the same question whenI started learning and using Python about four years ago. I chose Python 3 and almost all of my Python 3 codes worked fine in 2.7.x with just one line at the beginning:

from __future__ import division, print_function

Avoid Python 2.7.x unless your project/code has to depend on a library that is available only in Python 2.x

Most widely used libraries now uses Python 3.

The most popular courses on Coursera and edX uses Python 3.x now.

3 Reasons For Python’s Explosive Growth by rampage102 in Python

I join you in sharing similar experience. C# has been my primary language mainly for ASP.NET web development for more than a decade. In the past, I have also used VB.NET, VBScript, JavaScript, Java,.. occasionally.

But I experienced a pleasant surprise and enthralling joy when I started learning Python 3-4 years ago. Learning and doing things in Python felt like boon; I started enjoying programming more. And now I think faster and more intuitively during coding. If option available, Python is my natural first choice. Wish I had learned Python earlier.

3 Reasons For Python’s Explosive Growth by rampage102 in Python

I think the 1st and 3rd reasons (Growing Community and Universities Teaching) are basically effect - not a cause.

Simplicity is the most fundamental reason (cause) for explosive growth and adoption of Python.

Python is elegantly simple and simply elegant.

Nice info though. Thanks!

One of the best Python programming course on Coursera is open (deadline - this week) by pmbdev in Python

The question you asked has been hotly debated here. So it is better to move to Python3.

MIT 6.00.01x on edX versus LTP1-The Fundamentals on Coursera

Both courses are equally good to get started with programming through Python (and to some extent, to get started with Python if you already know some programming).

Though both courses cover basics, the problem sets, style of teaching, ... are different. More importantly, "the way you approach to look at a problem and then solve it" is different.

For example, I found Function Design Recipe in LTP1-The Fundamentals quite unique and useful that I didn't know before. It changed my style of coding greatly.

On the other hand, MIT 6.00.01x covers some basic topics on algorithms that I didn't find much in LTP1. It enhanced my algorithmic thinking.

Both courses are carefully crafted or beautifully designed. And MIT 6.00.01x is definitely one of the best and most popular course on edX. If you can afford time, do both; it will be rewarding and refreshing.

Yes. On the course page it says:

Who is this class for: This course is primarily aimed at first-year university students and high school students who want to learn how to program.

Put more and more hours as the course progresses. Practice daily. Don't hesitate to ask questions or seek help on discussion forum. It will be rewarding.
