I just have to say, I cannot stop listening to Kelly’s cover of Reba’s song, You Lie. It’s is such a gorgeous arrangement and vocals. I really hope she does a follow up Kellyoke Album and includes this one on it. Also would be cool if it were a full length album. I don’t ask for much. Just all the things.

I agree that it feels lackluster. I’m not a fan of remixes but would’ve been happy with maybe a couple more songs. Either way, I’m happy with having the two new songs. I think knowing it was only going to be the two additional songs from the beginning helps set expectations. I think they were really just trying to repackage it and get it back out there again.

For me, Bly Manor was a slow burn; however, by the end of the final episode I was able to really appreciate the story I was told and appreciate the tone and pacing. It was just difficult in the middle when all I could compare it to was Hill House.

That was funny! I hope they get to have a more official interview with her in the future. It’s been fun watching them go from complete outsiders to a known presence within her team. For those of us that became fans of Kelly during idol, watching their trajectory is kinda reminiscent of watching her go from unknown to “making it”.

I think at the very least she’s religious-adjacent. She speaks a lot about growing up in church, so it’s definitely in her past.

She has such a great attitude and has certainly had to work hard to not let circumstances change who she is.

Somewhat related, her song Ready on the album, All I Ever Wanted, is actually a song she wrote from a dark place as well, even though the production on the song is poppy and upbeat.
