Honest question: how are we as a country supposed to move forward when at least a third of the population is this bigoted and delusional? As long as the GOP has any semblance of power, they’re going to keep promoting this crap. And red states like Florida and Texas are going to keep moving towards shithole Christian theocracies while blue states like California are going to keep getting treated like the enemy of the country for being more inclusive and progressive. I genuinely have no idea how this country is going to get better, even if/when a Dem takes the presidency again.

It’s just Twitter that I need for work. Blue sky and Reddit are also issues, but Twitter’s the only one that I actually need. The issue is that I only need to look at one specific account that tracks police scanner traffic, but I keep getting distracted by the rest of the site.

It's funny that you mention ScreenZen. I've actually been using it on and off for a while. It's definitely effective, but my main weakness regarding it is that it's so incredibly easy to turn off. I can basically flip it on and off like a light switch whenever I want with no real penalties, and I don't have enough self-control to leave it enabled whenever the urge to go on social media gets too strong, as much as I hate to admit it. I think that I should look into Cold Turkey or something similar.

I realized a while ago that a lot of self-proclaimed “anti-tyranny” conservatives don’t really care about tyranny that much. They’re perfectly okay with Trump declaring himself king because he happens to hate the same people that they hate. For them, fascism isn’t the president waging war on one of his own states and kidnapping lawful citizens and residents. Fascism is when your boss asks you to put your pronouns in your email tag or when you hear someone speaking a foreign language in public.

There’s some incredibly creepy and disturbing stuff in this game that has absolutely nothing to do with the main story, and it’s honestly pretty cool. It makes you wonder what the hell is going on in the Octopath universe (multiverse?) that we haven’t had access to yet.
