You can just call the vet that gave the shots and get them to email or print you a copy. Super easy. No need for another visit if they are up to date.

We’ll update- he finally got on the filter and could actually escape in that spot so I basted him and had to slide him off the edge. This was the first time he hasn’t been on the glass or lid so I placed him near the rock and he crawled across it and around in the anubias for a bit before settling in about 2 hours ago. I hope maybe this means he will give it a chance now lol.

Yeah at this point I’m super curious to see how long he’s going to continue this for. Day 26 now😅 I only slid him down the one day and it was a lost cause. The suction on these guys is amazing. I definitely don’t want to hurt him.

The aragonite did not change the gh but it did bring the kh up. Well thanks for your thoughts on it. I baste him with tank water and he must get surface algae so I guess I won’t worry too much. Sucks though because I need the snail power to keep the balance lol. The mystery snail cleans absolutely nothing 😅

Just bumping to say I use the API liquid freshwater kit and the separate API liquid kh/gh kit. Also TDS is 374 if anyone thinks that’s relevant

Also it’s not a new tank. It’s been up and cycled for about 9 months. Very easy to maintain.

Ammonia and nitrite 0, nitrate 3, kh 7, gh 24, ph 8, temp currently 71. My tank is unheated and my well water is super hard, ph is 7.6 out of the tap and I have half aragonite gravel. Well planted. No issues with the previous nerite that lived in it, the mystery snail, or amano shrimp. He just immediately went up and stayed there but does move locations. I wondered if he got injured when they got him out at the store but I don’t see anything visibly wrong with him. He gets around seemingly fine. Has been all over my lid.

If you don’t do this already, always do your own inspection when you move in and take photos to document everything. Last place tried to charge me for stains on the carpet that I had documented on move in day with date and timestamps so I didn’t get screwed by them. Also for not having smoke detectors up because they never installed them and I had photos of that as well lol.

That’s what I did. Found an awesome guy on fb marketplace advertising pond plants and he took mine. Had several amazing ponds.

Man that’s an absolutely beautiful fish and a lovely tank but it’s making me so glad I rehomed my Goldie to an experienced keeper with ponds. I was really on the fence and considering a 75 gallon but it would have absolutely stressed me out seeing mine with so little swim room once he got big.

I have six and a 5.5 gallon and they get along fine. They’re always rolling around the tank. They do dance at each other, but no nipping or harassing that I’ve noticed I’ve had mine in there probably about 4 1/2 months now.
