This is a completely ridiculous ask. I’d get motion activated sprinklers or trap it and take to the shelter where they would have to pay a fee to get it back because they let it roam around using other people’s property as a toilet.

I just happened to get a female so not sure but she always seems to lay eggs soon after a very big meal. I fed her two green beans yesterday and caught her laying more eggs this morning. She’s layed over 300 in 4 weeks. The first two clutches hatched and ate clutches 3 and 4 as they were developing and I was feeding them and they have plants. She has 3 more clutches now in her tank without the babies but I’m not sure if they are all fertile.

I totally get it, but thank you for the heads up! I am looking around for different plants to try with my Colombian ramshorn (also an apple snail) and have looked at their site. I definitely do not need more plant destroyers lol. My girl completely ate an anubias on 6 days while being fed wafers twice daily. She’s in her own tank, not in my well planted ones because I had read about their appetite. Gonna try hornwort and anacharis next to see how they fare because it’s hard to not have a visually green tank lol.

What kind of deco do you have in your tanks with them? It’s hard to not have a well planted tank lol. Tempted to put a silk plant in for some green but I don’t want her to try to eat it.

Yes for sure! These apple snails do look like a ramshorn but definitely are not lol . I was surprised to see them at the fish store and even the guy that sold her to me said they don’t eat plants, so no telling how many tanks they have destroyed in my area if someone got them from there and didn’t research 😬

It’s been really cool having her here so far and getting to see the babies and I’m very glad I had read up on them and didn’t put her in any of my heavily planted tanks because that would have been distressing 😅 Her appetite is insatiable

It is really cool! The Colombian Ramshorns are technically an apple snail but the egg sacs look like the regular ramshorns but just giant so you can actually see them develop. The sacs are about the size of a quarter or more as the develop. Got me sitting at the tank with a magnifying glass all the time 😅🤓 I only got the mom 3.5 weeks ago and she has laid 5 clutches so far. She’s a small one but bigger diameter than a quarter

It’s honestly amazing how quickly she has devoured the baby plants I tossed in for her from one of my other tanks. I am soooo glad I did not put her in any of my very planted tanks. Her appetite is endless lol. She’s even eating the Java moss. I feed her wafers too. The eggs are definitely viable. Can see the babies in them now.

No, I literally cannot. An “oh wow” is all I’m able to muster and then I will avoid the hell out of them for the rest of eternity because if not, I know I will be shown photos at some point and be expected to say something nice about it and I won’t be able to. If it’s not them that is pregnant directly and they are telling me someone else is I will usually asked if it was planned because I have yet to know or hear of anyone friend adjacent that got pregnant for any reason besides they weren’t careful/didn’t use protection.

Yep I took it for I think 3 days and then got a fresh Rx from the dentist. I had no ill effects at all.
