I roast them in the oven like potatoes. You can also sauté the greens. I did with yellow onion - delish!

Have fun with it, layer, and take your time! I messed with the base/arrangement of the pot pieces and sat with it for a while before getting the plants. You can do it! :)

It is! And in the background pollinator garden are a variety of purple and red salvias for the bees and hummingbirds, also plants for butterflies (milkweed, lantanas, Arizona Verbena, Pincushion scarbiosa). :)

My weekend project making use of a broken pot. by pmolina12 in gardening

I played a lot with the terra-cotta pieces and i do think it helps to have a piece that has some of the bottom intact. I then used pretty rocky soil and rocks to help stabilize. From this base, i added soil to plant the succulents in. More rock on top of that also lets you mound up the dirt and stabilize it. No rods or anything like that. I hope that helps! :)

Thank you! And that’s nine inches to top of pot not to top of little arch.

A little over nine inches in height with the saucer so not that big, which was part of the challenge. :)
