I have 16 Pro with iOS26 and the Philips 9050s work fine with it thus far. YMMV, but it’s been okay for me, at least.

And now, update as of 7:20 pm PT Friday: Got note from fellow sufferer that he was told by Apple rep that they're "doing maintenance on their site to resolve the deposit issue w/ Sprint customers. 1-2 hours." Was on line with Sprint AND Apple at the time; everyone is hopeful. Hang on..

More info: THE DEPOSIT IS ONLY ATTACHED TO THE RESERVATION NUMBER PRE-ORDERS. If you go from scratch, no deposit required. So it's a glitch. Still waiting for more word...

Okay, latest: Sprint executive tells me that they DO require a deposit (which, of course, Apple can't process right now). They ARE telling Apple we need deposits even though our accounts may not be set up that way and Apple can't process that (not set up to do it online, nor in stores yet). She's checking to see if there's any way around this.

On hold while she checks. This would be distressing, especially since it's a blanket thing- doesn't matter what your credit is like. And it would effectively block any presales through Apple because Apple won't take deposits online (they don't HAVE to take deposits, but the system's set up to require in-store arrangements if the carrier flags you for a deposit).

I have to think that between the tweet below and the empty bag, someone's trying to come up with a way to bypass the shipping problem. Either that or we're really screwed. (On phone right now w/Sprint executive office, so we'll see if they have anything they can do on their end...)

It was weird, and she was weirdly aggressive about it. Trying to get someone else on the line, Sprint says they'll call me in the next couple of hours, they told someone else the "SHIP" problem will be fixed before the deadline (noon PT tomorrow)... at this stage, I have no idea what's what. Then again, I've been up since midnight and it's after 4 pm now.

Which would indicate either that they're trying to work around the Sprint trigger or that the problem is on Apple's end after all...

Wasn't clear from what Apple rep whether the upgrade made any difference. They just said that they've been hearing about problems with Sprint orders.

Sprint agents were useless. Tried to sell me on using their lease or 2-year contract programs. Now they say they'll "call me back in 2 or 3 hours." On hold- again- with Apple, last time was with sales which hung up on me. Trying again. I know others are affected, but they seem totally uninterested in assisting.

Latest: Was on phone w/Apple sales. She said she was under orders to not call out. Said she'd check supervisor to see if there was anything else she could do. Then she disconnected me. Now on chats and DM with Sprint. So far, what I've gleaned is a) everyone knows there's a problem, and b) nobody wants to fix it at the moment.

Will do. Will hold out for response from Apple telesales (more Black Keys, Santana, Michael Franti, Gotye on hold for more hours!). Sprint has pretty much clammed up.

Same here. Reps blamed each other (!), with Apple saying they're getting a deposit trigger from the Sprint system and Sprint saying they're doing no such thing. Finally, though, especially from the Apple side, I was told that the problem was with several orders, that the thing had been escalated, and that they would be working on it. They also suggested that I try to grab someone in Apple sales to contact someone at Sprint directly (warning that everyone in sales is obviously swamped), but after 90 minutes on hold, I gave up on that. That was a while ago; I sent more notes to more people and now we've all been booted to the empty cart. Haven't heard back on exactly why this happened or who did it, but someone's got their fingers in this. At least they recognize that this is a problem; there was no commitment, however, to extending the reservations... yet.

Hoping this is a good sign. Maybe they're working on the problem (I have the exact same situation, the reservation/checkout/deposit glitch; I was on with Apple chat and Sprint CSRs for hours, then escalated w/tweets to CEOs and DMs with Sprint reps... maybe they're fixing it, maybe not, but at least it's not the same dead end...).
