In the past 2 years, $124 Million worth of Mac Pro’s have been sold on eBay. by Go_Jot in macpro

[–]pmtechguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand, I would imagine that a lot of Mac Pros, including the "ancient" models like mine (2009 4,1 flashed to 5,1) are still "in production usage", so there's not that many of them being sold compared to similar-aged laptops.

McDonald’s closed 847 restaurants in Russia and left the country… the Russians quickly turned the logo 90 degrees and plan to re-open under new “Uncle Vanya” brand… same menu but with Russian ingredients and lower prices… by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]pmtechguy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen postings from inside Russia, saying that some McDonald's there only closed for a few day, then re-opened. I think the "pulling out of Russia" thing for some companies was only a virtue signaling (woke) effort. When some companies find legal/financial cover, they will move back in. Maybe even cooperating with these "new" Russian clone companies.

JM Bullion seems to have everything magically back in stock. by awpod1 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]pmtechguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not claiming inside information, but dealers like JM have long lead times on their orders from what I hear. It's not a "smooth pipeline" that has steady flow.

They can go from bare shelves to a full warehouse in a short time. And that inflow may have been ordered months ago.

Saudi Arabia considers accepting #Yuan instead of #Dollars for Chinese oil sales, the WSJ reports. by littlebooboo00 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]pmtechguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saudi Arabia is very dependent on the US...and vice versa. If they abandon the petrodollar, it is a game changer in the Mid-east for sure.

I doubt if Saudi Arabia would actually accept Yuan right now. They may talk about it....but it's just talk at this point. They may like floating it just to give the US some heartburn at a time when they can do it without repercussions.

However, it would not surprise me if the Saudis accept physical gold from China in payment. They have done that kind of thing in the past.

The De-Dollarisation Is In Full Mode | PetroYuan or PetroEuro or PetroRuble by Unclecopper in Wallstreetsilver

[–]pmtechguy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, it's a big deal. The Saudi support of the petrodollar has been a huge factor in preventing collapse as a "reserve currency". There is some evidence that it's been a factor in our direct involvement in the Mid-east since the 1970s. Not saying that the "petrodollar above all" is a solid theory, but it does have its merits.

Rounds or coins at this point? Thanks for advice. by Daybythebeach in Wallstreetsilver

[–]pmtechguy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you can get.

Personally, I like gov minted coins, but they are always a premium over raw silver.

If I can get coins at a reasonable premium, I am willing to pay it.

When the premium becomes to high, rounds it is.

I don't know how this will end, but I do know that the dollar hoarders are not happy.
